The Horror of mom needing blood and almost dying...you dont want this!!!

my mom was unwell for awhile bruises on her body....doc tells us she has a form of lukiemia.

of course "no blood" she is anointed and stubborn as hell.

her platelets (blood fraction 2% of blood volume) are 4 should be 150!!!

I'm so sorry.

Long-time JWs seem to be at a point where they are just weary, worn-out, tired of the daily struggle for life and keeping up with 'Jehovah's chariot'.

They see death as the guarantee of entry to the NewSystem (or heaven, if they are annointed).

It's just so sad for the survivors - especially those who know the truth about 'the truth'.

Sorry for your current struggle.

Correlation decline JW numbers and JW broadcasting?

i read some impressive figures here about the decline of the jw numbers in 2015.. could there be a correlation between this decline and the start of jw broadcasting?.

hence, that there would be an negative impact because the gb is standing so nearby, you can experience the idiot reasoning of their doctrines sitting in your own living room?.

I, too, acutely felt that emptiness that comes with realizing that I don't know where my passion lies. I have a few interests now, but envy those that have developed their passions and are thrilled with them

This was particularly funny: Like those in their 70s or 80s that have seen the "generation" teaching get so freaking bright they just can't see anymore.

i do a study every saturday and love every minute.

Hi Grags -

It's nice that you enjoy your time studying with Jehovah's witnesses. I remember enjoying their visits, too, when I was young and my parents joined the group.

You should know that this particular discussion forum is comprised of both active and inactive witnesses. Also some people that never were 'in' the organization but who have an interest nonetheless.

The majority here, though, are people who have been deeply hurt by practices that are not disclosed to people like you. Or the practices are sugar-coated.

There is some good conversation and debate here, but also much hurt.

back in 1991, a young brother maybe 18 years old living next to my place committed suicide.

his father expected him to be very zealous just like he was, but the son never wanted to be like that.

he was always controlled by his father.
