  The Elders are Coming Help!

  so the elders keep bugging me and pestering me about having a meeting with them to "introduce me to my new congregation" for some reason (do any ex elders know what that even means??).

  i keep postponing and making excuses and they are getting more and more aggressive.

  i finally agreed for them to come over today, but really don't want to..should i hide from them again?

  Nothing like waiting til the last minute to ask for help...!

  Generally, the best thing to if you are trying to fade, is keep them at bay. There are kind ways to tell them, "Thanks, but no thanks. Not at this time. Thank you for your interest. I have your number and will phone you if I feel I need assistance [from you]."

  But since you have already committed, my best suggestion is to leave them a phone message stating that something has come up and you are unavailable to meet. Then go treat yourself to dinner and a movie in a town where they don't live. Come home after 10pm pour yourself a little glass of wine or cup of tea and go to bed.

  It's a much better use of your time.

  WBTSofA Submission 10.2: "...Unfortunately, those assisting the Commission appear to have misunderstood the relevant Jehovah’s Witnesses’ documents, which would not be the case with congregation elders who understand and implement the direction contained in the documents with the support of the Service Department."

  LOL The bold part made me laugh.

  The commission did such an awesome job of capturing the context and subtext of the relevant documents. To claim that there was a misunderstanding is laughable.

  Besides that, when dealing with something as dire as child sexual abuse, the directions should be incredibly CLEAR - with no room for ambiguity or misunderstanding.

  If the documents were 'misunderstood', really, who is to blame here? The author(s) or the educated reader?

  There was an xjw poster here who converted to catholicism. I remembering him talking about his faith and his conversion experience. Unfortunately, I cannot remember his name now.

  The Horror of mom needing blood and almost dying...you dont want this!!!

  my mom was unwell for awhile bruises on her body....doc tells us she has a form of lukiemia.

  of course "no blood" she is anointed and stubborn as hell.

  her platelets (blood fraction 2% of blood volume) are 4 should be 150!!!

  I'm so sorry.

  Long-time JWs seem to be at a point where they are just weary, worn-out, tired of the daily struggle for life and keeping up with 'Jehovah's chariot'.

  They see death as the guarantee of entry to the NewSystem (or heaven, if they are annointed).

  It's just so sad for the survivors - especially those who know the truth about 'the truth'.

  Correlation decline JW numbers and JW broadcasting?

  i read some impressive figures here about the decline of the jw numbers in 2015.. could there be a correlation between this decline and the start of jw broadcasting?.

  hence, that there would be an negative impact because the gb is standing so nearby, you can experience the idiot reasoning of their doctrines sitting in your own living room?.

  Fantastic post! Made me cry and laugh.

  I, too, acutely felt that emptiness that comes with realizing that I don't know where my passion lies. I have a few interests now, but envy those that have developed their passions and are thrilled with them
  

  This was particularly funny: Like those in their 70s or 80s that have seen the "generation" teaching get so freaking bright they just can't see anymore.
