Now, with those of you with green grass and the scents of spring, bite me. Here's how it looks in my part of the world. As you can see, the snow has melted half an inch.
I think it's time for someone to move.

look at meeee!
but you don't worry.
my ego is too flashy to check if you responded or not.

OK. Here's my contribution.
jehovah's witnesses will be experiencing a special treat during their co (circuit overseer) visit this season: a bona-fide pledge drive.. during the thursday night meeting the normal co talk will instead be a video entitled:.
building kingdom halls advances true worship.
this 30-minute advances video is well produced and explains the watchtower society's program to build simplified kingdom halls in third-world and poor countries were materials and funds are scarce.. interviews and footage focus on south america, africa and eastern europe.
Oy vey!
They need to find a way to dredge up money from somewhere. Since there doesn't seem to be a need for Kingdom Halls in most developed nations in the foreseeable future, let's bring in those monies to build where the need is greater. I wonder how much money is actually needed to build in those countries???

i had a phone call today from an old friend and, to be honest, it was one i had been dreading.
the lady in question used to be my pioneer partner, we got baptised on the same day, march 26th 1983, and started pioneering at the same time, and have been friends for well over 20 years.. a few years ago yvonne and her husband steve left derby and moved to south wales, but we have kept in touch, and i have visited them on several occasions, but haven't told them that i am no longer a jw, so when i got the call today i thought she was ringing me about our baptism anniversary, which would have been this sunday.
she had tried ringing my old number, which i am no longer on, and decided to try my mobile.
What a fun story! I'm really happy for all of you and hope you have a lovely dinner.

if you upload a photo of yourself the site will do a face comparison with celebrities' faces and tell you whom you most resemble.
kind of fun!
i resembled kate beckinsale, liza minelli and diane keaton.
I still can't get the registration to work...
I enter the data and push the 'RegisterMe' button but nothing happens

as mentioned in another thread, the watchtower bible & tract society of australia is refusing to give me my personal records, though i believe they are supposed to under the aust privacy act.
they claim to not be under the legislation, which exempts businesses with less than 3 million turnover.
anyway, i purchased their financial report that is lodged with asic to find out what the turnover is ($16million).
Blondie wrote: I just wonder what traveling they do; is this part of the international conventions?
2004 $1,065,000+ worth of travel
2005 $ 580,000+ worth of travel
That seems like an awful lot of ticketing expense for a branch to incur.

thankyou for wanting to help.
i believe i have a good chance of winning this lawsuit.
the watchtower lawyers are defendants and have tried three times to have the lawsuit thrown out and have failed.
Here you go:
Prior thread from SHUNNED FATHER ( http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/109173/1.ashx ) says in part:
...Bethany and the WTS lawyers stated in Court and in the media that the treatment was a cure for her desease ( AML Leukemia) ...
The googled wikipedia reference says:
The FDA in 2000 approved this compound for the treatment of patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia that is resistant to ATRA
Acute promyelogenous leukemia (APL) is a clinical subtype of acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) characterized by a translocation involving the RARa gene on 17q12-21, and five other genes, reported to date; PML at 15q21, RARa gene; PML at 15q21, PMZL at 11q23, NuMA at 11q13, NPM at 5q35, and STAT5b. http://mail.medacad.org/www.ichg2001.org/abstracts/cancercyto.htm
I hope this helps explain the arsenic question.
