He's only 57? Looks much older to me.
Have they gotten married yet?

just found out that the australian governong body member known as geoffrey jackson got engaged to a sister about two weeks ago.
it really shocked me at first but then i remembered how other members of the gb have remarried in the past like daniel sidlik.
what made me say "woah" was hearing that the holy bride to be is really young!

i believe that if a non regular meeting attender shows up for at least the memorial "celebration", it's a sign, that possibly, the person is saveable.
not all hope is lost for them.. i heard that last year, the rumour was that i was going to show up and sit with my mother....(of course, that never happened).. so, if you attended or if your family member or wayward friend showed up, they might have a chance for everlasting (earthly) life, after all!.
Amnesian - So nicely put. Never heard it put so clearly.
I absolutely agree with your POV.

i have someone sent me the clarification about the 607 date by the wts.
don't want to post it here to avoid suspicions (from the sender).
i can email to you or pm and see how valid that is.. any takers?.

I don't understand the purpose of this thread. Are you looking to get information or are you looking to share it?
If you are looking to share it, are you offering to send it someone via pm so they can re-post it as if it came from them and not you?

my sister in law has been shunned by the family since she da'd herself at the age of 18 and moved out of the house.
i always insisted that my wife keep in contact with her and made sure she knew she had a soft place to land, with us, should she need it.
even at the risk of it getting us in hot water with the pioneer, elder, bethelite family members there was no way we were going to let her disappear into the wild blue yonder on her own.
I googled and could find nothing for "Hawaiian Education Facility" that was JW oriented.
Can someone please confirm? Photos would be great!

I thought the 2007 Toronto 'Fest was Apostapalooza, apparently I am wrong about that.
Throw out a date and location. Who knows? You might get something started.

does the image below show up for everyone?
it's a cut-and-paste of an ad for classmates.com.. what caught my eye is that the books they have in their ad are actually jw yearbooks!!
odd, isn't it?.
It *is* weird. It popped up on game I was playing and I did a double take. I used to have everyone one of those books - and then some. I think my 1975 book is still in my garage somewhere. And my '73 book was more worn than the one in the photo.
Finally Awake - feel free to report it to whomever you chose!
Wonder if a JW is contracting with classmates.com for their web presence...?

just wondering if your name describes what you saw, how you were treated when you were "in" or now "out", maybe your personality, ect.... i'm label licker and the why i picked this name was because of all the licking up one side of elders and down the other to either be an elder or ministerial servant.
one time i was standing right in front of this brother who wasn't made an ms yet and he totally ignored me and talked right over my head speaking really loud trying to catch the co's attention.. got sick of watching the poor elderly sitting all alone or standing against the wall like a wall flower with noone to talk to and yet all these label lickers would take turns picking up the elders elderly parents and take them shopping and do their groceries at least four times a week while out in service, yet, there was noone there to take a meal to a sister who just got out of the hospital with a heart attack.
when i had shown up at her apartment with a meal she asked if i could wash her private and change her bandages.

my first year in la went by fast yet at times painfully slow.
you see, i moved to la from san francisco.
i always said by the time i am in my 30's i'd be living somewhere warmer, and that i did.
Welcome to JWN and welcome to SoCal. I am up in Ventura County.
it has been a long time since i was on here and life has gone many different ways since then.
been married and getting divorced, and now have a son.
life has not been kind to me since i have left the org.

It's the closest thing to free counselling. Might not be a perfect fit but might give you some insight and an outlet for feelings.
