Oops! A few posts back I prefaced my comment with @vivienne.
I meant to address that comment to LMSA.
Apologies for the mis-direct.

for a bit of back ground.
i’m a full blown pomo apostate.
nothing would please me more to see wt burn to the ground.
The only way to win this game with active family is to not play the game.
I think you've done great!
Not everyone needs to know all of our own feelings and opinions.
Congrats on keeping the family affection door open with your PIMI dad.

@Vivienne -
Regarding your proposed chapter list (page 463 of this thread)...
I suggest adding an intro/background chapter with details found on JWN.
On JWN, JLE describes his ambition to create a cohesive community for all xJW's with him (at the time know as '(John)Cedars) as the lead. Then JLE completely botched the AAWA launch project with deception (ie: using an alias to form an actual, legal US corporation) and excessive control.
[Of significant note: Barbara Anderson, LadyLee/LeeMarsh, Paul Grundy and many others were initial strong supporters of and contributors to AAWA. Which quickly fizzled under Lloyd's 'leadership'.]
Laying out the origin-story of JLE's 'activism' will give clearer context to all the shenanigans we've seen play out on between Lloyd and so many other xJW YouTube content producers. All culminating in what has been a train-wreck of a year for JLE/JohnCedars in 2022.

hi everyone, (including the person who down votes all of my posts).
as some of you know, i'm working toward my master's degree.
comments from those associated when the elder arrangement was introduced would help me with a research paper.. what was the reaction among adherents?
Which elder arrangement are your referring to?
Prior to 1972 or 1973 there was a 'Congregation Servant' (I think). It was just one man overseeing everything in a congregation.
In 1972 or 1973 an arrangement was created for each cong to have a 'body of elders' rotate thru 5 different roles in congregation oversight (Presiding Overseer, Service Overseer, Secretary, Theocratic School Overseer and Literature Overseer).
The most recent change that I know of involved appointment of a CoBE (Coordinator of the Body of Elders) but that happened LONG after I left the org and I do not know how or why that works.
I do know that shortly after the CoBE arrangement, there seemed to be a deletion of elders who had served for a very, very long time. But I do not know if/how the CoBE thing specifically had anything to do with the deletions and purges.
hi everyone!i'm new here, but have been active on the reddit r\exjw community.
i have just published a website where i analysed the last 50-70 years worth of watchtowers, awake, books, brochures, and kingdom ministries/work books.. i have collected all the data and published it at the link below.
you can also see below an example of genesis.
Hi Coming Outa My Cage.
Welcome to JWN! It's nice to have you join us.
I may have 'met' you once or twice online for an xjw meetup (based out of LosAngeles) but open to xjw's anywhere.
Thanks for posting this resource.

the last 2 1/2 years have been extremely stressful.
while the rest of the world was dealing with covid, i was also dealing with cancer.
in fact it seems none of my doctors knew about it.
BEST news all year. Congrats, Lee!!
And it's so nice to see you here again.

On page 388, Diogenesister wrote: There is only an official dress code for baptised Jehovah's witnesses at Bethel . 'Studies', 'interested persons' etc are more than welcome at Bethel and don't have to follow the dress code (within reason).
I have been to Brooklyn and Warwick several times, NOT looking like a JW.
However, I was accompanied by active JW('s) who were dressed to JW standards.
Regarding the Bible HIstory Exhibit at Warwick...
This exhibit is located adjacent to the lobby where you wait to be assigned to a tour guide/group. You do not need a guide to access this area. It is designed so anyone can meander thru the display on their own and at their own pace.
WT is very, very proud of this section and wants as many people as possible to see it.

hi everyone i would like to say hello to everyone,.
i just started attending kingdom hall about a month ago now and am doing bible study with a brother..
Welcome JohnPaul. It's nice to have you join us.
My parents started studying with the JW's many, many years ago when I was 10.
Unfortunately, our involvement with the JW organization did not make for a happy family life for me and my siblings. Nor did it make my parents marriage happy.
In fact, the intrusion of Watchtower Society into our lives created a very bad family life. My parents divorced after 35 years of marriage and my siblings and I have fractured relationships with ourselves.
It also led to our isolation from both sides of our very large, extended family.
Please be wary when your study conductor (and later the elders) try to tell you how to live your life.
This is a very good forum for discussing all things related to Jehovah's witnesses.
You can easily search 20+ years worth of discussion here.

100% agree.Simon wrote above:
We don't need leaders. There really isn't enough that the WTS does that is new such that we need a constant stream of media to break it down and analyze. They repeat the same things over and over for decades. We just need a certain amount of information to be available and some friendly voices to help people on their way.
Much incredible research has been preserved here on JWD/JWN and elsewhere by amazingly insightful people. It does not need to be rehashed ad-naseum.
People exiting High Control Groups need encouragement and examples of HOW to move on.
I love a good personal growth story and content creators who share their stories of the details of their progress is the most beneficial.
Christian and Katja Gutierrez produced some incredibly honest and engaging videos.
JT and LadyC (ExJW Critical Thinker) was a poster on this site and they continue to produce good quality content on their website.
KameronFader shared his progress on making new friends and re-uniting with his non-JW family.
Brock Talon (not his real name), aka 'LivingTheDream' here on JWD/JWN, provided so many stories of his time at Bethel that he eventually wrote a book ('Journey to God's House') and then his follow up book detailing his path out of WT and into a very successful life and career outside of WT FOG and interference.
So many exJW content creators on YouTube.
So many exJW departure stories on this website and many other - MANY from before the internet even existed.
We don't need an exJW leader.
We all benefit from having many individual exJW Guides. And we should all encourage a wide variety of guides.
The people who continue to share and show by example how to live a good life free of WT control and free of WT traits are essential to the exJW community.
