  men employ these "forgivable fibs" not just to avoid hurting you ("of course you don't look fat in that outfit") but to make their lives easier ("i think that wallpaper looks great") and to steer clear of trouble ("i guess cindy crawford's 'sexy' in a conventional kind of way, but she's not my cup of tea").. it's not that your man doesn't care what you wear or what the living room looks like -- he does.

  ****Not all of them are like that, Danny. Just most of them.**** And viva la difference I say! I have lived with two women, one for 9yrs, the latest and greatest for 20yr. Jeez almost 30yrs of experience...well la de da. I still get all weak and wobbly when tear's flow, mine mostly. Lol. It's fun to talk about both gender's foibles. We surely have equal if not greater amounts to share. Laughing at each other can be the best medicine sometimes. Danny

  For a moment I thought I was high on your shit list. But I guess a 'whatever' is better than Naeblis got, so I feel better.

  Your not obligated to leave now npy........just do like I do....when you can't take anymore of the bullshit....go away quietly......then come back and raise holy hell. It always keep em guessing.

  my uncle oliver passed this past weekend.

  he was my step-dad's grandfather's brother.

  (does that make him my great or great-great uncle?).

  Mike sometimes your just a gem of a guy,

  **** Finally my grandmother, his neice, yells up out of the audience "IT'S CHIP-MUNKS, OLIVER!!!" He says "yeah, chipmunks" and smiles and keeps on with the chimpunk thing****

  Your story just brought the biggest grin to my face. I do remember the Ga. brother's and sister's ability to laugh at the antics of thier very close nieghbors and family. It made going to the meetings a true family affair.

  No matter how vile and ridiculous the wtbs dogma is.....there are many fond memories of friends and family we can recall.

  It was very nostalgic to read your comments. Thanks Mike.

  What is really funny is the fact that all of the commentator's (including myself) used to be unabashed pacifists!

  Suppose a little like 'feeling our oats', making up for lost time, that allows us the luxury of being such dogmatic pricks about something that was totaly off limits for so long.

  Glad you got your hissy fit tantrum off your chest.;)

  Tit for tat is not the point my fine english friend. If Joseph Kennedy had had his way, we would have never shown up on your doorstep.

  The undisputed fact is quite simple. Dwight Eisenhower and the good ole US of A put together the plan and the wherewithal to accomplish saving your butts. Period.

  Then to top it off, we stuck around for the next sixty years and made the whole investment stick......right down to the last brick being dismantled from the Berlin Wall.

  You can't obfiscate the effort by measuring the amounts of blood shed. No way.

  The US much to my chargin sometimes continues to offer aid and support to those countries who conveniently forget about what we have done for them in the past. You brits are amoung them.

  "Maybe for the first time"......you mean to say we covered our tracks that well for the last 228 yrs? Thanks we try.

  Oh and yeah France, Russia, and Germany had very little interest in maintaining the millions of cold hard cash streaming in from Sadam, for thier help in providing Sadam with the latest technology as respects chemical and conventional arms. Sure they had little if any interest.

  Reality check. Most of you who adamantly like to assert your right to critisize America, ought to be reminded that your ability to do so freely without the sharp end of a swastika encrusted night stick up your butt, was insured and paid for by the 'fast and loose' blood and guts of America and its son's and daughter's.
