  Older generation JW's are being sacrificed by the Society? Why?

  what has changed in the last few years?.

  cheap paperback books.15 minute rule.reduced pioneer requirements.public/private watchtoweronly one pair of mags to public per month.doctrinal changes re 'generation', 1935 etcpublic talk cut to 30 minutes.and now the book study kicked into the long grass.this is an organisation that, since the big 1995 'generation change', is clearly slimming down and planning it's future srategy.

  real estate is being sold and essential operations are being relocated to more cost efficient locations.

  i agree. they are using similar tactics to other religious organizations.
  
  plan on them soon instituting reach out programs to help the poor,
  sick, etc. I know I know, totally against WTS practice in the past, but
  these are the kind of actionable programs young people like.

  Savior Complex

  i came down with a savior complex in my late teens and i still have yet to shake it completely.

  the idea that somehow i am supposed to figure out what is wrong with the world and try to help fix it can be overwhelming at times, especially for someone like me that suffers from ocd.

  i have found that they only effective way for me to handle this is to try and make things better in my small corner of the world.

  I came down with a savior complex in my late teens and I still have yet to shake it completely. The idea that somehow I am supposed to figure out what is wrong with the world and try to help fix it can be overwhelming at times, especially for someone like me that suffers from OCD. I have found that they only effective way for me to handle this is to try and make things better in my small corner of the world. I need to do more of this. I think the more I do the happier and healthier I will be.

  Illegal Immigrants in Congregations

  on a recent trip home to valdosta ga, my father stated that 1/2 of the local .

  spanish congregation were illegal immigrants.

  a friend this morning whose mother is a witness has heard similar things .

  To me this is simply another example amid hundreds of the hypocrisy of the Watchtower society.
  
  They are supposed to obey man's law unless it conflicts with God's law. In this case they simply
  don't do that.
  
  My personal politics are that its too late to kick out these people out of the country, they have
  established lives here. I am all for making them all citizens and started to collect taxes from
  them.
  
  The trend is established. Immigrants from the poorer nations with direct access to the US
  will continue to flood in until there is more of an economic balance between countries. Economics
  follows a natural trend towards balance.

  i lived across the street from a county group home that housed 10-12 teen-age boys at any one time.

  one where you were actually given a paycheck, & where did you end up after that , if you're in the mood to tell ?

  there are a lot of intelligent people here with, i assume, some very interesting occupations.... but hey, we all had to start somewhere........ for myself, my first real job was at a local clothing store, imagine my surprise when at the age of 18 i realized just how much items were marked up...!!!

  i priced the clothes at 3 times the cost to the store.
