What do you call people who adopt other opinions without researching them?

i was talking to two elders yesterday..... i was confronted about the whole "bad associations" question.

i asked them what "bad associations" were.

they have no idea what bad associations are to the author, only their opinions and the opinions of their chosen leaders.

i dont think that either of you are wrong about bad associations. however, i do think they are wrong for forcing their opinion(s) upon you. i don't know what the terms should be for what you are looking for.

I'm Not Going To Heaven......

.....but i'm going to a church that thinks they all are.

they preach a good game but in the end, i still believe in the paradise on earth theology.

i'm split right down the middle, as i cannot get away from the belief that only a few were ever good enough to get to heaven.

Maybe you should take some time away from the church you are attending and gather your thoughts. But don't worry about being split down the middle with your beliefs. I know how you feel. It's a little confusing.... Don't let it get to you and take it easy man.

If I had a son or daughter I probably would as long as they knew that I would NOT like for my child to be persuaded into that religion. And they have to treat him/her with respect.

my mother married a man that was a complete and utterly a-hole.

he made life miserable, and i would say he made my life like living in hell (for 9 1/2 years).

i don't know what his problem was, but i guess it was this darn religion and more.

So, why didn't Jesus write anything down?

terry's thread on who is right - jesus or paul, got me to wondering; why didn't jesus write anything down?

surely he would know that the things he said would be written down at some point, and that this would be the beginning of misunderstanding what he was saying.

secondhand accounts of spoken words have a way of changing dramatically from the original words.

Maybe Jesus didn't write anything down because he had too much going on in his life or just didn't feel like writing anything down. He could have also thought that there was nothing important enough to write down.... I don't know.

I also don't think that he was illiterate because he was supposed to be perfect.
