Any Ideas on the Next "Big Thing" that Will Bring the Watchtower Down?
by jamiebowers ini received this via a face book pm from the group christian witness fellowship:.
also near the end of the show, richard rawe says "something extra big" is about to happen that will take watchtower "down," something bigger even than their pedophile scandal and the u.n. connections scandal put together.
he says he can't spill the beans yet, but the something is definitely coming.

Minors going door-to-door
by doublelife ini just went to the silentlambs website and there is a link to criminalcheck.com where you can find registered sex offenders by zip code.
so i typed in the zip code of the territory from my old congregation and i was surprised at how many people popped up.
there was three pages of names and on almost all of those names i recognized the street address as one that i went door-to-door on.

This image on the Watchtower's official website front page has irked me for awhile:
Your Personal Invitation
Would you like to have a personal home Bible study and increase your knowledge of the Bible?
(Only option: Yes!)
It's not just the shabby Photoshop job — head poorly patched over torso of a different perspective, weird hand proffering brochure and none of these elements ever saw the same camera together — but because of the child exploitation angle. They used to switch out to a less-botched little girl there, but I suppose the pedo's they market to prefer boys?I admit perhaps I'm overthinking it. In light of recent lawsuits and stories pouring in over the 'Net each day, it seems like a blatant, in-your-face affront to opposers of Watchtower-sanctioned child abuse.

Christian Arrogance
by startingover inmaybe arrogance is not the right word but i can find no other that describes what i see.
the idea expressed by some christians on this board is that somehow god specifically chose them.
i'll quote perry as an example as his post inspired this thread.

What word would better describe the situation when you claim god chose you and not me?
Narcissism: A psychological condition characterized by self-preoccupation, lack of empathy, and unconscious deficits in self-esteem.

(Sherry somebody on the View.)
Sherri Shepherd.
Saw this "Christmas one of many joys" article over the holidaze: Philadelphia Eagles starting right tackle Winston Justice.THIS YEAR, I am experiencing many "firsts." This past Saturday was my first real snowstorm. Growing up in California, I never saw a snowfall like the one this past weekend. Wow! I couldn't believe I had to drive 15 mph on the highway just to stay safe and keep in the lane.
I also grew up not celebrating any holidays. From birthdays to Thanksgiving, because I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness, my family did not observe these days. So, believe it or not, Christmas is still a very new experience for me. Soon after I got into the NFL, I became a Christian. Now, I am excited for the presents, and I love the time you get to spend with friends and family and all the traditions that come along with this special holiday. Most important, I realize that Christmas is a time to remember and be thankful for the birth of Jesus Christ.

At first I thought Mrs. Rosario was fleeing an abusive husband. But Lisa's right: DUI Arrestees. Talk about "blood guilty before Jehovah" if the elders drove her to suicide with their disfellowshipping punishment, on top of her recent trouble. Other faiths readily suggest counseling/rehab, but the Jehovah's Witnesses shoot their own wounded!
How come her poor husband had to search at the Kingdom Hall himself after 5 days? Were the POS elders that incompetent? Or were they obstructing justice as usual with theocratic warfare on the police?

Husband finds missing wife dead in the snow

An Anchorage man who reported his wife missing on Sunday found her Thursday afternoon, dead and lying in the snow next to her religious meeting hall. Police say their preliminary investigation indicates that she died of exposure and there are no signs of foul play.
Robin Rosario, 54, was last seen by her husband, Edgardo, the evening of Dec. 26, police said. When he got home from work around 4 p.m. the next day, he saw she had put pillows under the blankets so that he would think she was still in bed. He called police to report her missing. She was despondent and he feared she was suicidal. She had been drinking the night of Dec. 26, he told police.
The Anchorage Police Department's auxiliary search team checked the area around their home on Wesleyan Drive, as well as wooded areas nearby, but couldn't find her. Someone thought they'd seen her Sunday afternoon at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Twenty-five people searched over two days; the search effort included five or six dogs from Alaska Search and Rescue, said Anchorage police spokeswoman Anita Shell.
Much of the search focused on the trails on which she loved to walk around University Lake near her home. Rosario was also an avid recreational runner. Her name shows up in published race results dating back for many years.
Her husband continued to search, and at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday he found her body on a snow pile in the Kingdom Hall parking lot. The hall, at 2520 Wesleyan Drive, is about a mile from their house. She was wearing a white coat, which Shell said may explain why no one spotted her earlier. The state medical examiner will perform an autopsy.

Sorry to hear of it. 54 is far too young. Surely she was afforded top-notch medical care.
The Bethelites who have been kicked to the curb after years of loyal volunteer service will simply have to wait on Jehovah... or Obama... which ever comes first, if ever.

Definitely red. The revolting ancient Hebrew rites centered on repeated, innocent bloodshed (so the priestly class could enjoy a good barbecue without having to work for it).
And hey, the red-logo'd Devils made the playoffs in 19 of the last 21 seasons, praise Jah!
