“The site spans an entire city block in the dynamic DUMBO neighborhood and has nearly 1 million square feet of development rights,” Richard Devine, a Jehovah's Witnesses spokesman, said in a statement. It's near the foot of the Manhattan Bridge.
Now used as a parking lot, the 135,000-square-foot Jay Street site also has frontage on York, Front and Bridge streets. Real estate sources told the Brooklyn Eagle two years ago that developers who had approached the Witnesses at that time were willing to fork over $400 per buildable square foot — nearly $400 million.
A competitive offering process has also started for 124 Columbia Heights, a ten-story, 152,000-square-foot residential building that overlooks Brooklyn Heights' beloved Promenade.
Devine called it “a remarkable building with spectacular views of the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty and the impressive Lower Manhattan skyline.”
The Witnesses, who expect to complete their Warwick headquarters construction in 2017, still own another dozen Brooklyn Heights properties they have not yet brought to market.

Moneyca Appleshite makes her living $elling “educational programs” to institutions involved with children so they can 1) lower their insurance premiums, 2) avoid expensive litigation, and 3) reduce payouts to victims.
That’s it. She doesn’t give a damn about victims, her motives are purely financial. 110% on the side of the ABUSERS all the way, whoring herself out particularly to churches.
So when Father McHandy touches little Bobby the altar boy, the Church can turnaround and say, “But we have a program in place, you can’t sue us, it’s not our fault.” She then pops in and protects them in court: “They met the standard of care, at the time.”

Bold mine, italics theirs. This seems to be the crux of her business: If there was no standard of care, at the time, then no crime really occurred. But WHO establishes that standard of care? Why, Dr. Appleshite does! And she’s got a program to sell you too!
This is how her bogus testimony fell apart. She was saying that because the WT wrote an article in the early 1980’s, they were way ahead of the Catholic Church in addressing the issue. Therefore, the “standard of care” at the time was met because essentially, there was none.Make no doubt about it: This wretched bitch is all about protecting church a$$ets, never the children.
And yes, I’d like to register my utter disgust with her employers, but then they’re basically tapeworms, too. -

I just found out that my youngest brother committed suicide
by SnakesInTheTower inmy middle brother called me a couple of hours ago.
our youngest brother, josh, who was 38, was found by his friends in his apartment.
he hung himself.

as a newly awoken individual, i have yet to "come out" to my hard core jdub parents.
my plan was to lay low and use my unbelieving husband and baby as an excuse for my "inactivity", it has worked for the last few months.

This is from a discussion on a pro-Witness website about the recent court case where a non-JW mother did not want her child indoctrinated by JW grandparents:Yes, lots of things grandparents can do when the parent does not want the child to attend the Kingdom Hall..reading the Bible Story book. Having friends over for a meal, or a get together (especially when there are other children her age), walks in the park talking about Jehovah's creation, singing songs, Sophia and Caleb videos.
And the child can truthfully answer that (s)he did not attend a meeting.
This is the sneaky, conniving, disrespectful mindset of the typical JW. Theocratic warfare indeed!
I would not allow one to walk a dog, let alone spend five minutes unsupervised with a minor. -

Lets start a "Go Fund Me" for those special pioneers being kicked to the curb by the GB,.
by notjustyet inlots of great potential to help those sp that are being sent off without any financial help from the wtbts.
i think that it would be a great way to get some exposure on this topic and how the wtbts thats those that dedicated their lives to the wtbts only to be sent packing at a late age.
then someone can take the funds to one sp couple, possibly, and give it to them in honor of the apostates that know what is really happening.

by suavojr inthis is the list of my favorite terror movies that i used to watch as kid and still was able to be a good little jdub and son of the cobe.
looking back, the wt made me more curious to watch these movies.
