What about calling out to Jah?

the big to me is what about jehovah.

after years of calling out to jah, literally, i start to wonder whether jah really helps me or rather it's just a type of mantra.

i have started thinking that i have to look after myself.

The Yahweh God will not help them because he is a figment of a demented male bigot's imagination who loves virgin sacrifice - see for instance the sacrifice of Jephthah's daughter in Judges xi (links below) and a history of human sacrifice by the Israelites (being an Israelite was no protection either, especially for virgin women). A JW elder actually told me that it's best not to have any children because we are in the time of the end. The hypocrisy was mind boggling since he was married with children of his own.

In regards to the Aboriginal congregations, just as many Aboriginal people are sort of hidden amongst the wider society, so too there are vast numbers of both witnesses and associates who are in the grip of fear of this Jehovah cult. They are kept separate in a segregated Aboriginal congregation just as in the South of the United States segregation in the WT world survived well into the civil rights era.

I've come to the conclusion that Jesus Father - Our Father who are't in heaven - is not Yahweh/Jehovah. We have to remember that the bible is not inspired of God, but a manmade and man-altered document. I do believe Jesus actual words in many places shine through and have survived the adulteration. Teachings such as love thy enemies, do not sin anymore, forgive them for they know not what they do.

We do not need Jehovah.

Judicial Committees

in light of the following scriptures regarding jesus, how do judicial committees and their members composed of three elders even remotely follow jesus' teaching and example?.

I'm a fourth year law student and it never even occurred to me that the Judicial arm of the WT government ought to be held to the principles of open court, principles which the WTBTS is supposed to support when it comes to the nations which are under the power of the wicked one Jehovah, which is called King of the nations (Jehovah - Jer 10:7).

John 14:23 "Jesus replied, "if anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and ;we will come to him and ;make our home with him."

that's beautiful, Star Moore. I was amazed by Nathaniel Merritt's book which salvaged the idea that Jesus father is not the satanic and murderous Yahweh elohim (Jehovah).

Coptic translation of Revelation 3:14

in an earlier thread i mentioned how witnesses are using the sahidic coptic translation to support their view on john 1:1. now witness apologists are pointing out that revelation 3:14 supports their view that this verse teaches that jesus is god's first creation.

whereas the greek uses a word that might be construed to mean "origin" or "ruler" rather than "beginning", the coptic word used is said to mean purely "beginning.

i wonder why the society have not made use of this before.

The WTBTS can't get past the fact that in the elohist tradition (Genesis 1) it was elohim (the gods? a god? god?) which created creation and in the Yahwist tradition (Genesis ii.4) it was Yahweh (Jehovah) that created creation.

So the idea that Jesus created creation can't sit squarely with Genesis ii.4, and it can only sit squarely with Genesis i.1 if Jesus IS elohim -THE elohim, or at least an elohim.

Sorry I'm too new to all of this to get past the first two chapters of the bible.

Hi Hallelujah..You must be a christian? ; Your name. ; I'm thinking it sounds elite for people to call themselves, anointed.. ; I'd rather say, I've had a born-again experience..but then i sound like a born-again.. ; ; ; ; I've been thinking the other sheep, might be the people who Jesus saves at the great tribulation who are not true christians..but people of every religion, nation, even atheist but have a good heart... and want peace and justice and take a stand for the Christ without them even realizing it. ; ; What do you think? ; ;

Yes I'm the same. I'm a believer that Christ lived and that he taught and that we should take notice of what he actually taught, things like turn the other cheek, love thy enemies, forgive them for they know not what they do. This I believe shines through the adulteration of the scriptures, the insertion of magic, numerology, prophecy, divination, deification. I believe Jesus teaching saves - not the legends of Mary's virginity, walking on water, turning water into wine, the loaves and the fishes, the raising the dead etcetera etcetera for how are we to know who wrote it, when, and with what motivation. Jesus teaching saves because it tells us that he, a man, son of mankind _ho'adam, loved me, a sinner, and so I can love and forgive me. I'm trying to take in what I just wrote.

PS what do all the nbsp, lol (lot's of love???) & all the other abbreviations which I have no idea of mean???
