  JW Opinions on Obama

  i haven't been on here much, including during the recent election.

  i am curious if anyone knows what the opinions, official as well as non-official or "gossip" *gasp*, on the election and obama.

  i remember as a kid my mother would always complain so much around election time, just like xmas, because she hated it so much.

  Much adu about nothing.

  I think it's great that he's apppointing Bill Ayres to lead the Obama Youth Movement. He has a back ground in elementary education theory. Plus offers real life experience with practical skills.

  paint and latinos

  i got called in to work today to cover the paint department.

  i only got a little bit of paint on my face and hands and clothes, so i think i did good.

  interestingly, there was a nice older latino couple who came in to buy 5 gallons of stain.

  New to Halloween...What do YOU do?

  i've never celebrated halloween (too bad none of you live around here - jacksonville fl), but for whatever reason, i have alot of good memories from the anticipation of the various holidays as a child (i'm originally from a state that actually had seasons), even though we as jw's did'nt participate.

  i still remember being at friends' houses, seeing them apparently happy and found myself wishing that i could have something to look forward too that was fun and not just the memorial (such a solemn occasion).

  i have swore to myself that when (and if) i ever have children that i will celebrate them (the holidays + birthdays) as would want them to have some of the memories that i was denied.. am i making too much of this?.

  fruit of the loom

  i remember as a child, before i knew what a "loom" was, i thought it must have been a groin, and therefore the fruit of the loom was dangly bits.

  after all, that's what fruit of the looms protects, right?
