when jw's are confronted with the fact their organisation has made several false predictions concerning the time of the end, they have various excuses they use to wiggle their way out.. i thought it would be interesting for them to see how their organisation meets the qualifications as a false prophet way back back in 1922 ...3 years after they said they were chosen as gods channel after a 1919 inspection of them by jesus himself when he cleansed the temple.

they claimed they were free from babylonish bondage and adorned as a bride for her husbandly owner...jesus.

Sheesh..aint a guy allowed an opinion?I occasionally go to a meeting to keep the folks happy and it just so happens that the last one a couple of months ago the bro in the public talk happened to mention that the organisation has made mistakes.Didnt use the "light gets brighter"scripture either.Im sorry im not consummed with hatred for these people..im just not.Anyone remember assemblies when you were little and you had the sombre-faced apostates outside with banners about Charles taze Russell etc?It was just white noise and still is to a lot of the younger generation.Anyway im keeping my options open...if the UN put a bann on religion my ass is grass..LMAO! (Wombat is a stand up guy...cheers for the chance dude) Ps...Some of you apostates should lighten up..it might not ever happen

Its all just a case of the "the out of date apostate".Seems quite a few here have some years behind them and i respect that but at the same time i feel many of them are completely out of touch.People in the same or similar boat to me and from a younger generation really dont care less about some watchtower quote from 192whatever or some dug up information on CT Russell.This is not intended to be rude or offensive, i swear..its obvious they have put a lot of time and effort into what they do.Even been to a meeting recently?Its mostly topical and relevant things they discuss...not dusty and out of date.Just a thought.

after starting a thread yesterday and taking in the various responses i feel i should set the record straight on a couple of things.over the last couple of days aswell as here i have joined jwo and slippys too.im not a troll but im not a board virgin either.these three particular sites have been mentioned to me (not quite recommended)by an ex-witness, so i thought id have a look see for myself.

it feels like i know several characters already very well (having had indepth conversations about them)but im very suprised at the size of the community you have here.i was raised a witness but never baptised.family still all are and in fairness treat me very well as do members of my old congregation when i bump into them.i guess thats enough for now,cant be giving too much away this is the internet after all.

btw..at times i realise i am not the best speller in the world(i struggled all the way through school),but to those people who replied to my thread just to point that out..bite me!your no different than the the type of elder who completely missed the point of how hard it was being a young jw but still took great pleasure in telling you how sports socks were not appropriate attire for the meetings.sheesh.
