looking at the australian wt memorandum and articles of this line took my attention.. when did they ever undertake works to relieve poverty, some discarded bethelites facing poverty would laugh at this, more like charitable works for the extension of poverty.
but no poverty facing the ultra heavies and gb members replete with obscene displays of the means of telling the time..
Jehovah's Witnesses have never been known as a 'real' charitable organization. The Governing Body(tm) and the 'rank and file' witnesses are lying to themselves when they make this claim. The 'world' has always seen through this false claim:

Looks like poor old Judge Rutherford could be the victim of 'fake news'!
wow.
wow.
wow.someone just sent me a scan of the boonville advertiser newspaper in which it mentions j.f.
Here is an item of interest. Although he was not elected by popular vote to be a Judge in Missouri, J.F.Rutherford 'officially' and legally served as a judge in Cooper County according to Missouri statute. I realize that this is common knowledge but it is kind of neat to see it in writing.

"Seems the mistake is in the 1940 census." - slimboyfat
Yes this could be true. I have found mistakes in different census years in regard to my mother. If the newspaper was incorrect, the Judge probably would have sued them because they had besmirched his 'good name'. Anything is possible and the newspaper could have made a mistake. Interestingly enough, at approximately the same time period, there was another Virginia Rutherford from Versailles, Missouri and her father's name was J. C. Rutherford! She was married to an A.L. Ross.

I'm with you all the way ILoveTTATT2. This particular clipping is from The Sedalia Democrat Wednesday, August 1, 1928 pg. 4. I'll keep digging and let you know what I find. It's interesting to note that he had two grandchildren. I wonder what they thought of Grampy's ranting and ravings on the radio?

Jeffro.........If you choose to ignore the evidence and not do your own research, that is your business. Don't belittle others on this post that are making the effort. When you actually take the time to read all the articles online, form your own reasoned out conclusion and create an intelligent rebuttal, only then will I give any of your postings credence.
