compound complex.........you must have been caught in 'the donut hole' part of the 'overlapping generations' of anointed. I believe that this was roughly a 10 year period in the late 60's through the middle 70's when some people were newly claiming to be of the anointed. However, since the 'overlapping generations' dogma had not yet been invented, your class was rejected and left in limbo. Knorr and Franz continually hammered home: 'There are NO new remnant! The door was closed in 1935 and there are only a few replacements here and there!'. I knew of a young brother in our old hall that claimed anointed status until the Congregation Servant and his Assistant finally convinced him otherwise. Had you 'stayed the course'....................you might have been part of 'this generations' Governing Body.

When did Cook, the new GB member, start claiming to be anointed, and what are the implications?
by jwfacts inkenneth cook was a "helper" in the writing department, which is apparently a role for those of the great crowd.
watchtower 15/10/15 p.3 states that helpers are of the great crowd.
"since 1992, the governing body has appointed experienced, mature christian elders to help its committees carry out their work.

" It is the True Religion ! "
by Phizzy inspeaking to two jw's, separately and days apart, they both weaved in to the conversation the phrase " it is the true religion " .. now in neither case was it possible for me to do my usual thing, piling in with both guns blazing and pointing out that it is impossible for there to be any such thing as "the true religion", unless by "truth" you mean that which is true in your opinion and not supported by facts or reality etc etc.
my question is : is this mere coincidence, or has there been an article or something telling them to say this ?
if there is, could someone point me to it ?

"It is the True Religion!" - Jehovah's Witnesses
"I know the Church is True." - LDS/Mormons
They can't both be right, but they both can be wrong..............along with every other ideology that claims to 'corner the market' on 'truth'.

they would go where the spirit inclined them to go.—ezek.
jesus has appointed the ‘faithful slave’ to be the only channel for dispensing spiritual food.

The 'spirit inclines' Jehovah's Chariot to 'park' in some mighty interesting places:
The pyramids of Egypt.
Beth Sarim and Beth Shan in California.
Germany to placate Hitler and the 3rd Reich.
And the best parking place of all for over 10 years: The United Nations.
What a wonderful awe inspiring and well travelled chariot Jehovah has!

I forgot all about THE SHAFT. When I left Watchtower Farms, I vaguely remember an Elder wishing me well and saying to me: 'Boy Sparky, you sure got THE SHAFT here at Bethel. I hope it doesn't cause you to leave the 'truth'.' (He was referring to my entire career at Bethel and not just my job)

An elder with only one testicle
by stillin ini happen to be one of very few people who know of this condition that the man has.
he had an accident several years ago with some power equipment.
leviticus 21:20 commands that no man present the bread at the temple with damaged testicles... so?.

Yes, notsurewheretogo, you are correct. The 'questions from readers' in the 6/15/1999 WATCHTOWER discusses this very thing. My understanding is that if you had a vasectomy pre-1999 you can qualify as an Elder or Ministerial Servant. Post 1999 you would no longer qualify. More 'man made' WATCHTOWER rules and regulations. Which 'begs the question' for me. How many men 'serving' on the Governing Body or as Circuit Overseers or Bethelites or Elders have had the procedure done pre- 1999 but now won't allow others the same personal choice?

$5.5 Million to be transferred to World Wide Work from Assembly Hall fund
by Sour Grapes ina letter was read tonight in our kingdom hall that the money that the circuits in the indianapolis area had in savings to build a new assembly hall will now be transferred to the www to build kingdom halls in lands where they are needed and a new assembly hall for us will not be built.. we had a beautiful assembly hall near downtown indy that was paid for.
it was sold a couple of years ago.
we were promised a new assembly hall to be built in southern ohio near the indiana border but they can kiss that goodbye now.

"It's right there in the fine print. The assembly hall belongs to Jehovah and any cash you brothers might accumulate really belongs to HIM. As Jehovah's earthly financial counselors, we invest his belongings as we see fit." - Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses
