I took some debating classes in Jr. High School. This course is excellent in learning to hone your skills and teaching yourself to reach logical conclusions. I have it in my personal library and highly recommend it.

Did you learn how to debate in school (or elsewhere)?
by compound complex inlast night i was taking another look at the term "dialectics":.
the art of investigating or discussing the truth of opinions: discussion; debate; logical reasoning; etc.. the dialectical method is, at base, a discourse between two or more people holding different points of view about a subject but wishing to establish the truth through reasoned arguments.. while i intend to do further research on my own, what is your own experience regarding preparation for debate, the do's and don'ts, maintaining your cool, .
i ask, in part, because i observe that some online debaters present facts and figures and use sound reasoning while maintaining their decorum; many do not.. thank you..

You may feel that at 35 years old, time is running out for you. Don't give in to that 'siren call' that may be nagging you to get married or find a love relationship to make yourself 'complete'. Educate yourself and learn more about who you are. Venture forth into the world of love and commitment on your terms and not out of need. I highly recommend this book. Good luck.............we all deserve a measure of love and happiness.

" It is the True Religion ! "
by Phizzy inspeaking to two jw's, separately and days apart, they both weaved in to the conversation the phrase " it is the true religion " .. now in neither case was it possible for me to do my usual thing, piling in with both guns blazing and pointing out that it is impossible for there to be any such thing as "the true religion", unless by "truth" you mean that which is true in your opinion and not supported by facts or reality etc etc.
my question is : is this mere coincidence, or has there been an article or something telling them to say this ?
if there is, could someone point me to it ?

Republicans Are Not Welcome!
by minimus inthe owner of the used apple store in derry new hampshire has put on his facebook that republicans are evil and they are not welcome in his store.
he has done tv interviews now saying that republicans simply should not try to come in and he can generally tell if someone is a republican.
it is interesting that a business owner can bar someone because of their political opinions but if a business owner conscientiously couldn’t make a cake for a gay couple,they are in legal jeopardy..
