I have written about this on other threads concerning Watchtower collapse. Make no mistake about it. Watchtower is creating their own database on EVERY publisher and will begin to use big data and predictive analytics to determine when and how to reorganize congregations, sell kingdom halls and squeeze congregations for more contributions. Big Brother in Warwick is becoming the Big Brother that George Orwell warned about.

New data movement this is what I see as their goals .
by Crazyguy inafter listening to the leaked videos this is what i think it’s all about.
first i don’t believe they will want to much personal information ie bank accounts etc do to potential legal problems down the road.
what i think is their goal is once all publishers are in the data base they then have no need for written information about any issue concerning a publisher and how issues are handled by elders and the branch etc... this information now is in their own data base and can be deleted or manipulated by them at any time.

Man.....my ass is on fire! They're gonna have to carry Monkey Butt powder in the Bethel Commissary from now on. I hope my Veterans benefits cover the cost of it. After all these years that crotch rot I picked up in Vietnam still flares up.

What is CT Russell's motive?

When I was a teenager, I remember Ed Brenneisen's wife saying that 'Brother' Russell was the kindest, most loving person she had ever known. So perhaps his motives were pure and then his ideology took on a life of its own. In essence, maybe he 'became a victim of his own success'. Just my 'two cents'.

The title of the book THINGS IN WHICH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO LIE actually make the implication that there are things that God can lie about. -

What Is The Most Ridiculous Thing You Have Heard From A Witness?
by minimus ini remember an elder questioning a woman who had admitted to giving and receiving oral sex from her unbelieving mate.
he asked her the most intimate questions which clearly flustered her.
interestingly, she “confessed “ to the elders because her conscience bothered her.

Told to me in 1974 by a beloved and kind Elder who was not very bright:
"The Bible says that in the last days, men would be marrying and women would be given in marriage. There are so many marriages lately the end can only be a matter of months away!"

Movie-goers can be fickle (great movies that should've enjoyed huge box-office success)
by LoveUniHateExams injust thought i'd start a thread about this topic.. john carpenter's the thing (1982) was a great film, one of his best imo.
for me, it's right up there with alien (1979) as one of the greatest sci-fi horror films ever made.
and yet one film made anything between $100 - 200 million at the box office whereas the other made only $19 million.

Humans brought to Earth, not native to it.

i thought some points on the claim were interesting.
such as how prolonged direct exposure to sunlight hurts us vs other animals, sicknesses, etc.

Time for the obligatory, stupid, demeaning joke:
"Humans are not of this Earth! They came from somewhere else!"
"Where did they come from?"
"They must have come from Uranus!"
Boo....hiss....boo

I'm a sucker for a horror/ill fated love story. THE DEAD ZONE fits the bill for me. My favorite lines from the movie are:
" 'Blessed me'? Do you know what God did for me? He threw an 18 wheeled truck at me and bounced me into nowhere for 5 years! When I woke up, my girl was gone, my job was gone,my legs are just about useless........Blessed me? God's been a real sport to me!" - Johnny Smith
