Sorry to hear of the treatment you recieved at the hands of 'loving worshippers of Jehovah' who just happened to be your biological parents, Londo111. I can sympathize, empathize and completely relate to your experiences of being disciplined in such a cruel and harsh way. My mother would whip my 2 older sisters with an electrical extension cord, she pushed my brother down a flight of stairs and one time I walked in on her sitting on another one of my sisters on the floor (my mother weighed about 300 lbs) and pounding her head into the wooden floor. Even though I was her 'favorite' she did not hold back from showing me 'loving discipline'. One time on the way to the Sunday meeting I was acting up. She pulled the car over to the side of the road, removed one of her low stacked heel shoes and began to beat me in the head with it! After she split my head open she decided to stop. No visit to the doctor or hospital, we just turned around and went home. To this day I have a scar behind my right ear and have severe Menieres syndrome in my left ear.(not to say that the beating was the cause of the Menieres syndrome, it could have come because she refused me medical treatment for an ear infection a few years later or it could have been caused by something else entirely) She was a pioneer and highly regarded in the Circuit as a spiritual 'older woman'.

I know 2 of the Elders on the Ray Franz JC
by James Jackson inwhen i read coc, i was stunned that the 2 elders (theotis french & rob dibble) were on ray franz judcial committee.
i have known these men for over 20 years having done rbc and convention work with them.
they are still elders today which means they were in their early 30's(which is unheard of for a case of this importance to have inexperienced elders to sit on) on this committee.. without revealing myself, i have never tried(but have wanted to), ask them about their on having to judge a former gb member.. then out of the blue, about a year ago, i was mentioning how hard it is trying to get younger ones to volunteer to one of these elders, and he says"this is nothing compared to to sitting on the committee that had to disfellowship ray franz".

Well James Jackson as far as this Organization goes anything is possible in regards to procedure manuals for Elders. There could have been 3 booklets in use for a period of time in between hardcover editions. In the late Summer of 1979 I was being considered by the Body of Elders to be appointed as an Elder and they wanted me for the position of Secretary. While still a Ministerial Servant I was given a HARDBOUND copy of the book and told to review it because I would 'need to understand policy' soon. I declined appointment and began my looooooooooooong fade. So as a matter of record, I have held no position in the Organization since that time. It seems odd to me that Wunce_wuz and I have the identical experience and you and Magnum have a different experience. Could it be possible that the hardcover text was kept in the 'elders room' at your hall and the 3 booklets were addendums to the original text? The reason that I bring this up is because 'facts' and 'real world experiences' sometimes are disregarded for the sake of a 'good story'.

Thanks for sharing your email. This story reminds me of going out it field service in 1973 with a kindly, simple minded old Elder and he said to me,'Hang on Markie........it can't be much longer. ALL of the prophecies have been fulfilled.' Three years later he died. Fast forward to 1974. I was leaving for Bethel service and one of the Elders that was like a surrogate big brother to me said, 'I wish I was going with you. Bethel is the best place to be when Armageddon comes and it is coming soon'. He is now 78 years old and has cancer. He keeps telling his sons that the end is only months away. Fast forward to the late Fall of 1999. My mentally unbalanced, super righteous Witness mother is in intensive care in the hospital. She tells me over and over again that she hopes she can hang on because Armageddon is only weeks away. She died in the early Spring of 2000. Same story for many of us posting here that were born into this religion, just a different cast of characters.

CAPTION COMPETITION !
by Focus innathan h. knorr was the third president of the watchtower society.
he was by mentality a clerk, with a fondness for instructing young male brooklyn bethel inductees as to what was the "right handling" of their genitalia.
it goes without saying he was a liar, a fraud, a hypocrite, a swindler, a conman and a thoroughly evil bastard, and let f.franz perpetrate the great 1975 hoax to boost membership, murdering the hopes of millions of elderly victims while so doing.. joseph f. "judge for 4 days" rutherford was the second president of the watchtower society.

Knorr: Hey Joe. Have you left your wife and given up on Bertie? I have a spinster sister who couldn't get laid on a bet. Do you want to meet her? Rutherford: Brownie you are a hoot!!! You'll do anything to schmooze up to me and try to stab me in the back to get my throne away from me. Covington: Now boys try and behave. After all these fools look up to us as the GOVERNING BODY of JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES and we wouldn't want to bring any reproach on Jehovah's organization. Just keep that stupid smile on your faces and WATCHTOWER revisionist history will be kind to us.

Sorry James Jackson but there was an Elders Manual in hardcover book form back in the 70's. It was not as comprehensive as the current version but it was a full size hardcover publication. When I went throught Bethel Entrants School in 1974 it was part of our study curriculum.

How ironic indeed, FOCUS. As you know, the fools that write this 'spiritual drivel' known as "NEW LIGHT" don't even take into account the facts of reality in regards to their own history. Hayden Covington was never of the so-called 'Anointed Class' and yet according to WATCHTOWER revisionist history he would be considered a member of the modern day GOVERNING BODY since he was so 'prominent in taking the lead' and was the Vice President of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. The average drone rank and file witness of today does not even realize that at one time a member of the 'Other Sheep' was on the GOVERNING BODY.

A life story of Audrey Mock Knorr Hyde can be found in the July 1, 2004 Watchtower. The article is entitled: "A Satisfying Life Despite Heartaches" and it includes many pictures of her, Natahn Knorr and Glenn Hyde.

Old 'rubberface' looks like a reincarnated version of Red Skelton. The only thing is that he is not funny compared to ole Red. Stevie boy seems to have only 2 moving parts; his mouth and his butt hole and they are interchangeable.

Some of the best advice in life I ever got was when I was taking a late middle aged man , his younger wife and early teenaged daughter on tour at Watchtower Farms in early Spring 1976. He told me that he had been a Bethelite in the late 30's and early 40's. He remembers being told over and over again that Armageddon was just MONTHS away. His advice to me was: 'Don't take everything the Society says literally. If you fall for their teachings hook, line and sinker you will never have much of a life.' By July that year I was gone from Watchtower Farms................
