My biggest gripe with the bible!

this book can literally be used to fit whatever agenda you have!

you can pull a scripture from here or there and apply it to what you want to do or what your agenda is.

i can't believe i never noticed how bad this was within jw.

Is the WTS effectively 'pimping out' sisters?

i can't remember the topic with the discussion about the talk where they suggested that sisters should only consider ministerial servants as potential marriage partners but think about the implications more.. are they trying to use the potential affections of sisters to enourage brothers to do more and work harder?.

isn't this a form of 'pimping out' the sisters by limiting their attention to the people contributing to them?.

it seems to cross a line to me but i guess it's not vastly different to "only marry another jw".. what do you think?.

Heck, I remember in the 60's some witnesses saying that you should not get married until after Armageddon. That way if a potential marriage mate survived Armageddon you would know that they were really 'spiritual' and that they loved Jehovah. Some things never change, they just get 'spun' differently. Same $hit, different day.

after the propaganda indoctrination session, a relative asked me what my spiritual goals were, i told em i want to become a servant before i turn 23 so i could get laid.

Thanks for the 'Christmas gift' idea FadeToBlack! I've picked out my gift already. They are Tony the Tiger socks from the Kelloggs Frosted Flakes commercials. After all, Tony the third thinks that he is 'GREAT' and he's a 'frosted flake' too.

Caleb, Sophia and their Mormon cousins are a BLATANT ripoff of the old Davey and Goliath kids religious television show of the 1960's. It was produced by the Lutheran Church in America and created by Art Clokey of Gumby and Pokey fame. The Watchtower Society has NEVER had an original creative thought but steals ideas from others and then claims them for their own. Shades of Charles Taze Russell anyone?

i was reading an article from a '95 wt called "watch out for self righteousness" it exposes amiii as a true pharisee by their own definition.

the style and content sound a lot like ray franz but it obviously was not.

i am confident you would never see an article like this in todays wt land.

GC seems to like to 'push' his 'Prosperity doctrine' in regards to'JEHOVAH'(tm) blessing his witnesses. And as a great side benefit he can count his TIME preaching and each post is a 'return visit'. It is a win-win situation for him. He can soothe his conscience for being here and still convince himself that he has the 'TRUTH' (tm) by castigating those who accept TTATT.

jehovahs witnesses two-witness rule is applied by elders when a witness member accuses another member of a sin, even if that sin is a criminal act.

if there arent two witnesses to the accusation, it goes nowhere, including not being reported to the authorities.

and in the case of an allegation of child abuse, the accused is free to molest again.. watchtower attorney, jim mccabe, recently stated this about jehovahs witnesses two-witness rule which he described as a bible-based belief :.

Enzo, I have two questions for you:

Are you an ELDER?

Do you have a copy of WRITTEN instructions from the WATCHTOWER SOCIETY and its GOVERNING BODY to back up your claims?

If the answer is NO to both of these questions then you are only repeating hearsay and expressing your opinion. Hot air is free and you seem to be full of it.
