i have been out of the jw organization for some 22 years now and i sometimes get a reminding jolt out the hoops that some will jump through to make their religion make sense to them.
the first line in this post is what a jw on the street here in salinas told me on saturday when trying to justify the society's history of false prophecies.

I too have heard 'intent' thrown around and used as a justification by Jehovahs Witnesses for their foolishness. Perhaps they should educate themselves on exactly what the meaning of the word INTENT is in a legal sense.

Words that irritate
by punkofnice ini have words that irritate me and not always without reason.. my latest hate is the word: 'solutions' as used by so many businesses in their title these days.
y'know, 'something innane business solutions' and such balderdash.. i loathe that word now.

' if, now, your right eye is making you stumble, tear it out and throw it away from you.+ for it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to be pitched into gehenna'.. we certainly do not want to stumble or, worse yet, be a stumbling block to the congregation.
evidently jesus was stating a principle here in matthew that he intended true christians to apply to all aspects of their lives and not just their eyes.

All kidding aside.........the sock issue is nothing new. I know of an ex-elder who disassociated himself and his family over 10 years ago. Part of his exit was triggered when he was counseled on wearing 'inappropriate' socks that were not fit for an Elder. NO JOKE!

Anthony Morris III should be ashamed of himself. Nowhere in the Bible is Jesus concerned with socks, suits or spandex. People could respect the Governing Body and the individuals that make it up if they were more concerned with JESUS teachings rather than their own pharisaical pontifications. LogCon, the photos that you posted are an indictment of the lack of compassion for individual human beings in need from men like Anthony Morris. Yes who really is a 'spiritual man'? Someone that doesn't wear brightly colored socks or someone that cares for his fellow man?

Maybe he has bi-sexual leanings and he is so repressed that he fears being turned on sexually by either men or women. Only he knows for sure and the rest is only speculation by anyone posting here; including me.
