hi everyone, this is my first post .. it takes a little bit of courage to do it, i have to admit and even thought i have been lurking for some time as time goes by it gets more and more difficult to keep attending meetings and just been around the friends in the congregation.
ever since i learned about the arc something inside of me just broke and it feels pretty hollow, now i pay attention to every single form of manipulation in every direction, what difference it makes with the catholic church or with any other religions ?
i wonder why the publishers are under obligation to report about their lives and decisions to the elders but they don´t keep informed the congregation about what´s going on legally other than russia.
Welcome to the forum. You will find many fine people that post here and much good information that will help you free yourself from Jehovah's Witnesses form of 'spirituality'. I note that you say that you are 'becoming weak spiritually'. Actually, you are probably becoming more of a 'spiritual' person as you weaken the hold that the Jehovah's Witnesses perverted form of 'spirituality' has on you. The entire scenario of disfellowshipping an individual for extended periods of time is an unbiblical practice created by the leaders of the Jehovah's Witnesses religion. The so-called template for the disfellowshipping and reinstatement arrangement is contained in 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians. In 1 Corinthians, Paul admonishes the 'congregation' to 'remove the wicked man from among yourselves'. This 'brother' was known to have had a sexual relationship with his step-mother and Paul considered this sin to be especially shocking and something that 'the nations' would not even engage in. Hence, he was to be 'disfellowshipped'. In 2 Corinthians Paul instructs the congregation to welcome back and 'reaffirm your love' for the sinner so that he is not over-reached by Satan. In essence, he is to be 'reinstated' according to Jehovah's Witness parlance. Here is the 'rub'. Many Bible scholars believe the 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians were written in the year AD55. Even the 'Silver Sword' Bible says that both books were written in the same year. So, according to Paul, someone that committed a very serious and vile sin should only be disfellowshipped for a year or less! The modern, time assigned punishment for individual types of sins is NOT a Biblical standard but one instituted by the leaders of Jehovah's Witness and the Watchtower Corporation. Jehovah's Witness leaders have never let the Bible 'get in the way' of their theological construct.

i thought this forum was for people who were ex jw`s and pro jw`s and the like to debate ,discuss and reasonably talk about our differences ,and sometimes drift off into politics world events and whatever.. however over a period of time i have come across cold steel `s many posts which are nothing more than promoting his mormon religions point of view./beliefs what has that got to do with jehovahs witnesses and the concerns many have with the jw religion.?.
it seems to me he is using this forum to promote his religion and is getting away with it over a long period of time.. how long before other cult religions see this as a springboard for promoting their own religion such as .
sda`s ,christian scientists , christadelphians ,beroean bible students ,etc.etc.. where will it end if he is able to keep doing this ?.
Non violent free speech should be the right of everyone on the planet. If you feel that a member is constantly posting things of no interest to you or that you find offensive, you can just skip over their topics or postings. By being on this forum, perhaps over time, Cold Steel may come to realize the 'cultish' similarities between Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormonism and thereby give up the fairy tale religion he or she is now involved in.
