"Ray Harriman was our CO"..........DocBob. Yeah Ray was quite a 'character'. He and I and my girlfriend sat up late a few times and watched Saturday Night Live. He really loved TV for some reason. He tried to strong arm me into pioneering and I would have none of it. After that, he barely spoke to me. My mother used to call him 'Happy Harry' to his face because he acted like such a buffoon lots of times. Under that 'happy go lucky' exterior, he was a real company man.

As an ex-Bethelite, I call bull$hit on this photo of Tight Pants Tony. If he really was involved in assigned 'dish duty', like we all were, he would not be dressed as he is. I've done my share of assigned 'dish duty' in my time and only an IDIOT would wear meeting clothes to do this job. It is a hot, dirty and messy assignment!

by Funchback ini'm in the middle of dissecting the june 2017 jw broadcasting video.. in the first minute, they summarize a story about a guy who apparently was a one-time bad ass (showed a picture of him with a beard while posing on a chopper).
then, they show him shaving at the exact same moment the narrator is saying how he regained "a clean conscience".. this no-beard obsession by the jws is beyond nuts.. .

OMG!! the Stereotyping!!
by Tight Pants Twinkle Toes indid anyone notice the blatant stereotyping in the ' remember the wife of lot' video?.
the only thing missing with the oriental family was a pony tailed servant named 'hopsing' and that they all go off to work at the family laundry.. the mexican family ate tacos, refried beans, and hotsauce ('not there is anything wrong with hotsauce'....,sienfeld) at every meal, and of course the dad was a landscaper.

Not that I witnessed their deaths directly, but that I lived during the time that these 2 men perpetuated the lie of 1975 and that they lived long enough to see their false prophecy fail! No wonder Knorr cried his eyes out during the last annual meeting he attended.(That I did witness.)

Some prayers really annoy me
by stillin ini realize that prayer is a really personal thing, but representing a group in prayer has become so full of cliche's that i just want to vomit sometimes.
co week almost every prayer has the phrase "special week of activity" in it.. then there's "please look after the sick and afflicted.".
not so much anymore, "please bless this food and the hands that prepared it.".

This video 'parody' is more truthful than the one presented at this years convention. I was a 20 year old Bethelite in 1975 and remember the 1975 fiasco very well. Watching this creative video, 'She'd Never Grow Old', brought a tear my eyes!
I salute you, Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society. You will try and 'weasel' out of anything and present yourselves in the best possible light.
