All I can say is that I am glad I am 63 years old and won't have to hear of foolishness like this much longer. Grown men in their late 20's fighting over a f@cking video game? There are far more important things to worry about in this life!

My brother is shunning me (but he's not a Witness)

i was raised in a fundamentalist baptist church, so what i'm experiencing is a little different than most posters on this site.
i've been out of that church for years, and my brother's been out for a while too.

Hello Everyone, Another JW Has Left!

i've been lurking for about a year, the first couple of times i was frightened and literally shaking visiting an apostate site but it's the only place i can come to for sanity.

WT is lying about the actual publisher numbers

My story
by Leeny ini came across this website when i was looking for some emotional/mental support lately as i was summoned by elders to explain someone’s report on me saying “i’m promoting homosexuality”.
i’m inactive, not attending meetings or associating with jw outside of my biological family for almost 2 years now.. yes i am gay (you can judge away) and yes it is in a direct contrast to the scriptures, no arguement about it.. i was brought up in a jw family.
my dad is a typical zealot, he literally talks or thinks about the bible 24/7.

My sister passed away this evening
by smiddy3 init was only about two months ago she was diagnosed with lung cancer and she was a non smoker .. she was never a jw and she never held it against me that i was for 33 years.. we had a good relationship even though we lived in different states about 2000 miles apart,.. tears are rolling down my cheeks as i type this .

I believe that John Wischuk was the primary writer and I think that Chris Zell's father had a hand in it, also. When Chris got married, I stayed in his fathers home on Long Island and this subject came up in conversation. He was out of Bethel service by then with a family but sometimes contributed to the writing staff from home, much like Barbara Anderson did when she first left Bethel service. I recall that he had a hand in writing Let God Be True. At any rate, I could be full of it. Do you recall anything about this, Newboy?
