In the spirit of match-making, who do you have a crush on?
by MsMcDucket ineh heh?
i know this is either going to be one of those topics where people consider it a popularity contest or something....i'm just being an imp and seeing if anyone will be forward enough to tell about the person that they would like to date.. me, i'm married so that leaves me out!
but i have seen a lot of beefcakes on here!

Golden Age Goodies
by Leolaia inrecently i had the pleasure to examine a stash of 1920s and 1930s golden age magazines, among the rarest of watchtower publications.
i thought it would be a fun idea to have a thread in which i share with you some of the amazing, ridiculous, hilarious things contained therein.
hence, this is the first post of a series of excerpts, scans, etc.

Name dropping the KKK is disgusting...and this happened in 1933? No wonder my grandparents are still somewhat racist.

Italy knock out Gemany? I don't think so. Germany has the entire nation behind them and they are playing attractive soccer. I'm all for Italy, with my ancestry there, but I just don't see them advancing past Germany. Especially with all the scandals going on back home with Juventus.

Thanks JWD
by mavie ini've grown more mentally in the past 3 months than the past 8 years.
the support here along with the freedom to think without restrictions is great!
i'm starting to see how many different points of view are out there....and that it is ok to disagree on different points of view and still be civil...something not taught as a dub.. it's like opening my eyes to everything around me i never noticed before.

So what songs helped during your exit?
by mavie inmaybe i am just reading more into things now than before, but i'm seeing the world differently now....these songs helped
"marching bands of manhatten" - death cab for cutie.
i wish we could open our eyes.

one song that recently reminded me of my exit, and brought tears to these brown eyes of mine:
U2 - BadBono has a way with his voice that just pierces into your soul. That song is a classic.

Maybe I am just reading more into things now than before, but I'm seeing the world differently now....these songs helped
"Marching Bands of Manhatten" - Death Cab for Cutie
I wish we could open our eyes
To see in all directions at the same time
Oh what a beautiful view
If you were never aware of what was around you
"Never Know" - Jack Johnson Knock knock on the door to door
tell ya that the metaphor is better than yours
and you can either sink or swim
things are looking pretty grim
If you dont believe in what this one feeding
Its got no feeling
So I read it again
and again and again
Just seems the same
so many different names
our hearts are strong our heads are weak
We'll always be competing never knowing "Never Know" - Jack Johnson We don't really need to find reason
Cause out the same door that it came well its leaving its leaving
Leaving like a day that’s done and part of a season
Resolve is just a concept that's as dead as the leaves
But at least we can sleep, its all that we need
When we wake we will find
Our minds will be free to go to sleepCatholic school as vicious as Roman rule
I got my knuckles bruised by a lady in black
I held my tongue as she told me
"Son fear is the heart of love"
So I never went backThis is only 2 albums!
It's exciting and scary to wake up from my 28 year slumber.
