Second of all, doesn't it seem odd to you that the WT, James McCann, and Rand Energy Group Inc all own 51.44% in the form of 5,257,900 shares? How do they all own 50%? How do they all own the same exact amount of shares?---amac

But FIRST of ALL, it seems odd to me that the percentage that they own is even relevant. "Oh Jehovah, it will be profitting only 'a little' from DEFENSE CONTRACTS because we don't own 50% of a company that has DEFENSE CONTRACTS, we ONLY OWN 40% or 20% or even .00000002% of a company that has DEFENSE CONTRACTS! And yes, it seems odd to me that nothing adds up on the Filings, it also seems odd to me that they won't disclose certain information regarding owners on the SEC, alot about this company's dealings seems odd to me, but the ODDEST THING OF ALL TO ME IS THAT THE NAME OF GOD'S ORGANIZATION IS EVEN ON THE SEC FILING OF A COMPANY THAT HAS DEFENSE CONTRACTS. ISN'T THIS AN ASSOCIATION THAT IS LIKELY TO STUMBLE AND CAUSE DISSENSION?

how can you, in clear conscience, stand by and say NOTHING to the WTS when they disfellowship those that have been MOLESTED, RAPED, or are parents in a devastating situation who's only wrong is wanting their child to live, yet OPEN YOUR MOUTH to DEFEND the WTS, who with Brother McCann, sit there in "good standing," with their stock in a company that has MILITARY CONTRACTS? I know you proclaim that you don't defend the actions of the WTS, but what in the hell do you call it when you take a simple, obvious association with a company that develops technology for MILITARY APPLICATIONS and attempt to make it seem innocent with your arguments of "well, the stock was donated," and "well it's not 50% they own," and "oh they didn't know," "oh, the company makes no profit," "they can't give it back," "they have no voting proxy," and on and on, dancing around THE REAL ISSUE.

Who cares, let's just ignore it and say they own 50%!!!!

Actually, you're right, I don't care what the exact percentage they own is.What the HELL is the relevancy of the percentage? I don't care if it's .000000001% ! To have an association with this company is showing an arrogant display of disrespect for its members. Period. Since you're right and I don't care about percentages, how about if I refrain from saying 51.44% and just say "the WTS is listed as a shareholder on a SEC FILING of a company that has DEFENSE CONTRACTS AND WILL SUPPLY THE NAVY WITH THE ENGINE THAT WILL POWER ITS EXPENDABLE BOMB? And because the percentage held does not change the relevant fact of this issue, you can find something else to nitpick on in your attempt to cloud the issue in the eyes of any lurking Witnesses.

If you would put the energy into confronting the WTS regarding its hypocrisies that you put into attempting to cloud its hypocrisies, maybe then the WTS would be worthy of calling themselves "God's earthly organization." I am, at this point, embarrassed for my family members who are blind to this hypocrisy. And contrary to what you may believe, I would have no problem, in fact I'd be happy for my family, to be in a sincere, loving religious organization. Unfortunately the WTS's members choose to remain blind and silent to the hypocrisy. They choose, instead of confronting the Almighty WTS regarding questionable issues, to close their eyes and do whatever the "society" instructs them to do, to the point of "shunning" without blinking an eye, their own family member if instructed to do so. It is up to the members to confront THEIR religious organization regarding harmful policy, doctrine, and actions on its part, but the majority choose instead to silently remain on the sidelines and wait for the few that have enough love and backbone to speak up. Then they "shun" them for doing so. I am embarrassed for my JW family that they rely on those that are not even Witnesses to bring about change in THEIR organization while they sit on the sidelines defending the hypocrisy.

And I am embarrassed for those that lend respect to the actions of the WTS regarding this hypocritical behavior by lending credibility to the irrelevant, moronic argument of ERIEGUY/MCCULLOUGH/AMAC.

The bottom line is your beloved Watchtower Society's name is listed on Regi's SEC Filing as owning 51.44% stock in the company. Regi, who the WTS owns 51.44% of, has various defense contracts, one being with the US NAVY for developing and building the engine that will power the Smart War-fighter Array of Re-configurable Modules unmanned aerial vehicle which has the capability of converting into an expendable BOMB.

If you have a problem with this information amac, I suggest you take your issues up with the WTS, not me. It is, afterall, the WTS's decision to own this stock, and noone else's. And the WTS is an organization who's conduct reflects on you, not me.

Universities and community colleges have access to databases with SEC (Securities Exchange Commission) Filings, newswires, etc. (If you're unfamiliar with how to access a SEC Filing, most college librarians are decent about pointing you in the right direction) When you access the SEC Filing for Regi US, Inc., scroll down to Ownershipto see if the WATCHTOWER SOCIETY is listed as one of the majority holders of stock in this company. Then you can access the newswire database, type in "Regi US" and you can see for yourself whether they have any MILITARY CONTRACTS or if they were aware of the fact that Rand Cam engine technology, as early as 1993, was going to be marketed to the DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE.

Also, just to let you know, I am not an apostate. I was raised in the "truth," but quickly tired of the WTS policy of expecting its members to abandon any family or friends who dared have any questions regarding the actions of the WTS. So, I, in fact, have absolutely no reason to spend my time or energies in creating lies regarding the Watchtower Society. And I doubt the posters here that are apostates, would waste their time in trying to convince anyone of a lie. Lies have a way of showing themselves sooner or later. What's Wrong With Having Hope?

i have noticed for some time now, that when anyone mentions having hope in something said by the bible, some come forth and start asking pointed questions designed to denigrate that hope.

if one says they hope there is a god, someone else will come on ask how could that be because of all the ills in the world.

if it is said that one hopes the earth will be restored by god, another will come on and start asking what about lions being vegetarians, and eating birds and mosquitoes and such.

I tend to agree with you Lew, that having hope, like having a dream, is usually an uplifting thing. but the riddle for me is, is any hope, like false hope, better than no hope?

in the case of "hope that your married lover is going to leave his/her spouse." I think this hope is most likely an unhealthy one, but who's to say.

in the case of "hope that you have two years to live when the doctor knows it's 6 months tops." this is a tough one, but I may prefer this false hope to the truth.

in the case that "you should follow, for a lifetime, a hope with no deadline." I believe in letting go of certain hopes, but I know people that would argue that any hope is better than no hope.

Loris, if an employer tried to repress an employee's freedom of speech by threatening the employee regarding speaking with the press, the employer would be dragged into court so fast that his head would spin. What in the world gives the WTS the idea that they can repress a member's constitutional rights and not pay any consequences. You may be a JW, but you are still an American citizen with constitutional rights. WTS doesn't beat around the bush when it comes to dragging anyone that they feel is suppressing their "freedom of speech" into court. Do they believe that you somehow are not afforded the same rights? Just because a person is a member of a religious organization does not mean they have somehow sacrificed their rights. I sincerely would speak to a lawyer and get a legal opinion regarding this matter. It would be well worth a reasonable consultation fee.

This organization has its members so conditioned into believing that it is the Lord and Master, that it has itself convinced that it can also take away one's constitutional rights, if it so chooses, without any consequence whatsoever. How dare they! The WTS flaunts that it wins victories for Americans' freedom of speech, perhaps it's time for them to be the defendant.
