you said you believe in the Genesis account. My question is, how do you fit in the existence of the Neanderthal into the Genesis account? No matter who mentioned it, the Neanderthal is a fact there is evidence for it. Did you see the Wiki-link? Greendawn mention it to illustrate the changes in the understanding of scientific findings.
But you have answered my question, since you do not believe that the Neanderthal walked the earth.
Also I misread another person’s statement as another personal statement, but that is also clarified.
You have posted that you whish the "evo’s" to have a rude awakening when Armageddon comes plus you faith in Genesis. Maybe that why some think of you as a bible-lover?

Dansk- Ian, ok, this is how i see it. I accept the bible because there is no better explanation. There are many parts of the bible, and `god` that i don`t like, but so far, nothing has convinced me with a better explanation. I can`t accept that the brain just `happened`, (mind you with some of the people on here it`s a good argument!) How can a man and a woman just `happen`, life is created by them both. There is too much artwork there, design etc. I don`t know if there can be a creator aside from the `god` of the bible, i wish there was, as i would rather believe in a seperate entity, but so far we have no other basis for believing that there is.
Can you give more reasons for the stand you take and answer my question?

Steve, I see the problem with the Genesis account. If anyone takes the bible literal then the account should be taken as it is written. How one can take it as literal, after reading and questioning it, is beyond me? But maybe that is the greater problem. Never mind the contradictions between Genesis 1 and 5. No matter how simple the accounts must stand true by itself.
You (and others) have tried many times to discuss and have opened ways of doing so.
Thank for being enduring, understanding and flexible in approaching an exchange to this topic.

I love it when controversy reigns and threads grow so long: evolution, trinity, 607BC, they never fail to fire up a long debate. I am a creationist and I believe the theory of evolution is a collection of airy fairy tales for little children rather than a serious scientific preposition but I haven't got the time right now to engage in debates but later I will. I only say Neanderthal long promoted as a dull witted apeman has finally been accepted as fully human even by the evolutionists, that means fully human intelligent beings were on earth for 300 000 years yet only formed a real civilisation 7000 years ago. Who can believe that?

as you mentioned the Neanderthal I take it you accept his existence as a fact. Don’t know if you take the bible literal or not, but how do you explain his creation by god side-by-side with man’s creation. Where were they when Adam and Eve were living in Eden? How do they fit into the Genesis account?

S4:If there were ever a thread that epitomized the ignorance of the typical creationist, these two are simply perfect. It's so sad for them! I think I'll recommend it for those folks on the evolution fence.
I continued to be so reminded of the Witness approach to genuine science - the utter lack of credibility in their arguments. I find myself just wanting to skip this thread, their posts are so angry and pathetic, but I keep getting drawn back - it's grossly fascinating, like watching a car wreck or insects swarm. Disgusting, but you can't take your eyes away.
I love the section where under_believer got Dido to admit belief in the basic tenents of evolution, though from her response, I'm not sure she really understood the questions.
Dido and Top Hat, you have no idea how you two have embarrassed yourselves on this post! I do hope you were maybe a little drunk through it all, and will wake up sober and realize what you've done. Watching someone argue about something that they admittedly know nothing about, at least in Dido's case, is really sad. In Tophat's case, he professes a knowledge of evolution, but fails to display it in any of his posts. Just as sad to watch.

I was thinking of Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde when Jehovah visited Abraham and Sarah (Genesis 18). While sitting together with Jehovah in their tent, Abraham and Sarah needed to be very careful not to upset him. Seems like they knew he changes as "day and night".
