Very true, in the beginning I kept saying that when I tell you this you will think of me as an apostate. She reassured me that that will not be the case and kept her word.

at first i was not even sure if they would greet me.
off course, they tried to convince me of going back to the meetings, but in no way were they judgmental or pushing.. we spoke about the preaching work (tract campaign), higher education, independent thinking, elders and child abuse (silentlambs & barbara anderson).

On Saturday I walked into two old-timer sisters from my congregation and we had a long and very open discussion about many critical topics regarding the organisation and the responsible men within it. At first I was not even sure if they would greet me. Off course, they tried to convince me of going back to the meetings, but in no way were they judgmental or pushing.
We spoke about the preaching work (tract campaign), higher education, independent thinking, elders and child abuse (Silentlambs & Barbara Anderson)…
Most of all they wanted to know why my whole family does not go to the meetings, since we used to be a very active family, all pioneers, the males were appointed servants and one of us would have a part at every assembly or convention.
They said that it is sad that so many of the nice brothers have left the truth and the reason for this are the overly self-righteous elders and travelling overseers. One of the sisters said that from a hundred brothers only five she would be able to call true friends and elders are the biggest hypocrites causing most of the damage.
However the elders will not make them stumble and nothing can surprise them, since they have seen so many bad things happen and higher ups coming and going.
I could not believe how open I could speak to them and more then that they agreed with most, if not all, the assessments and comments I made.
One of the sister’s daughters helped expose a terrible child abuse case of a jw family in England which used to belong to our congregation. This enabled me to relate what happened to my sisters and how the matter was handled in the same pattern of silencing the victim and covering over the crime. They were shocked to hear how the wt society deals with this, yet did not doubt what I was saying since they have been instructed to watch carefully who joins the young girls in FS.
The new tract was a fantastic aid to bring across many points in exposing the double standards and falsehood, without needing to refer to the issues with such clear words.
So thank you Watchtower Society!
Today I spoke to one of the sisters for three and a half hours on the phone. This conversation was even more open then the one before. Towards the end of the conversation I read directly from the tract the quotation from 1 Cor. And the question asking if the reader knows a religion that silently tolerates immorality?. I said: " Yes I do, it is our Jehovah’s Witness organisation, which not only silently tolerates immorality , but silences the victims of immoral crimes!" The sister told me that, even though she does not want to, she has to agree that what I say is true.

"Cursed be anyone who lies with any kind of beast," says Deuteronomy (27:21), "and all the people shall say 'Amen.'"
Bestiality is listed among the "abominations" of the Canaanites for which they are "spewed out" from the land before the invading Hebrews (Lev. 18). According to Hebrew tradition, even Adam , the first human being, is confused when his Creator brings him the animals. In Genesis Adam only gives these creatures names. Yet God's whole purpose in creating the beasts, according to the second creation account (Gen. 2), is "to make a helper (Hebrew ezer, denoting a companion or partner) fit for (Adam)," which Adam nonetheless fails to find. In rabbinic sources we are told the lengths to which Adam goes to find the right helper: he couples with each female animal, then complains to God, "Every creature but me has a proper mate!" It is only then that God, through trial and error (Adam's first wife Lilith leaves him, and the first Eve is rejected by Adam), creates a fit companion. The reasoning that Jah confuses satan on purpos I have often heard being used by overseers. refference is made to the demons asking jesus about the abyss also gog of magog and the nose ring. but i cant think of any literatur. in the famos WT spech by writing dept. Ciro on 911 abalible online, he also makes mention of satan wanting to know Jahs plans, but not being able to atain the info. he makes fun of and speakes about satan as if he knows satan personally. NY, you're right, and you know the holy spirit is Jah's active force, so when the gb continuosly does and says things which turn out to be total falsehood, jehovah must have a reason for this not to be understood by man, not even the gb themselves. maybe satan is not to know what jah is up to, so he confuses him and us!? thats what an elder told me.

JW says the end of religion is beginning to happen!
by awol inwhen talking to my jw friend.... she asked me if i had seen the news about businesses now not putting up xmas deco's etc.
this is so as not to offend people of other religions ie jw's and muslims etc.. she said this is going to lead to (a start of) the banning of all religions worldwide!?.
i said i think it shows more tolerance and respect for other religions.... that is not how she sees it (or any other jw's that have been discussing it).. what are your thoughts on this.

IMO thats stupid! germans are not a very religious set of people, but ever since 9/11, through the media, it is undeniable how much the world affairs are influenced by religion. Since Ratzinger has become pope, many more germans are finding their roots in the christian tradition. I think religion is having a new beginning. fts
