  no more bookstudies - (so no small indepedent comments, only brief congregationwide so not much discussion).

  bible reading talk can 'read' only, no introduction or conclusion - again not allowing any input or thought.

  one of the things i hear from jws and even my mother is "if being a jw is so bad, where else would we go?

  " or along the same line, but different wording "i know the society isn't perfect, but where else do they teach about jehovah?".

  so i got to thinking last night, is there really a fds?

  came accross this website, clearly set up by a jw .

  it firmly states that the bible over wheamlingly supports 607 not any other date at all!

  and that if any other date eg 587 were to be used, it would make a mockery of the whole bible!.

  Just got ahold of "secret elders meetings" notes.

  cant say how,but i am in possession of about 10 years worth of elders meetings notes.financial info,personal lists,signed letters etc.disfellowshipping meeting minutes,the works.it is unbelieveable.some of the note are "investigate so and so,she was seen at a movie,talk to sister so and so about her weight,investigate the matter between so and so and so and so etc.

  letters from circuit servant visits w/recommendatons.anyone got any ideas?there are even minutes of a meeting in which some of the elders "had words"...all in glorious initialed and signed paper.numbers,names,contributions..what should i do with this "blessing from hohoba?

  I hope you are able to forward the infos to the individuals. what legal action will they take?

  will the elder you got the notes from not miss his files? will they be able to find out it was you?

  maybe the mormon religion is a little better than jw, but is is still a dangerous cult, IMO.

  the experiences of ex-mormons are very similar to ex-jws!

  I wonder why they didnt answer his questions more deeply and didnt follow up by a visit. His questions were not hard. Was it really because they were not prepared?

  They likely knew he was a mormon, so they assume it is very unlikely for him to accept the “truth”. On the other hand, they would not want him to pass on his “false teachings” to the cong. So whom he got to speak to was very much controlled, being cornered by and passed off to “spiritually strong” members.

  Circuit Overseer said from platform ,if you have ever done something and not confessed to Elders...going to die!!

  just had lunch with a inactive jw friend of mine who is well on her way out.

  she said that when the she went to the kingdom hall the week of the circuit overseers visit, he said from the platform, that if anyone had done any wrong doing in the past, no matter how long ago, and had never come forward to tell the elders, then they would not make it into the new system, but would rather die at armegedon!!.

  i guess after that talk the elders were inindated and they began privately, and publically reproving, and removing ones!!

  Thats exactly what I have always been taught! Especially when going through the baptism questions (om book) was that point strongly emphasized. It was then when I realized how much authority the elders really have. But since I understood it to be bible-based and that elders are appointed by holy spirit, I thought it was ok.
