by VM44 inhere is a riddle.
i am thinking of something that god did not create, but is mentioned in the book of genesis and also throughout the bible.. what could it be?.

i am thinking of something that god did not create, but is mentioned in the book of genesis and also throughout the bible.. what could it be?.

Is it time for some new GB members?
by dozy init must be white smoke time shortly at brooklyn , following the death of 2 members in the last year.. by all accounts , there can only be 7 active members....... herd (71 years old) , jackson (51) , lett (57) , losch (63) , morris (56) , pierce (71) and splane (62).. the other 3 are all very aged.
barber (101) is confined to bed , jaracz is in his eighties and (allegedly) has heart trouble and a friend who met jack barr (now 93 years old) in the london bethel this year reckoned that this would be the last time he would be travelling over to the uk as he is very , very frail now.. with new, "grafted in" anointed ones very thin on the ground (and most regarded as certifiable by the r & f) , it is increasingly difficult for the gb to constantly appoint credible new members every few years.
for years now , the wts has increasingly been talking up the growing influence the non-anointed ones (nethinim , "chieftain class etc) are having in wts affairs - is it now the time for "new light"?

has this been confirmed? I thought it was only a rumor about the boss. If it's true then a new spirit should already be noticed. Although I doubt the young gb will make much changes, they will only if they have to. Eventually the teaching will be forced to change, due to their greatest enemy time. Seems like we don't have to wait too long to see how they do it this time. fts

i was born into a violent abusive JW family
by ania inthe abuser was my father, we were all (7 children) abused severely (including our mother) as a child i did not understand what exactly was going on but after many years of councelling and so-forth (my counceller tells me, my case is the most severe she has had in her 12 years as a counceller) i discovered that my father was (is) a sado-masichist.
he got sexual enjoyment from beating us all.
i already knew this to an extent i just never realised there was actually a name for what he got out of it.. after 20 odd years of this abuse, my mother had tried to go through the right channels (the elders, in several congregations we moved to etc) in order to get permission to take her children and live separate to her husband who was a constant threat to our very lives (he was a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic & incrediably unpredictable) she was however told time and again that if she left her husband she and her unbaptised children (under 18) would most certainly lose out on everlasting life.

Hi Ania and welcome, it is always sad to hear about all this abuse happening to so many. Actually it makes me angry to read what your father did. My father was a violent fanatic, but nothing in comparison to yours. We should do all we can to protect victims using our knowledge about the jw-org. I am happy you got out and realized how messed up some those people are, claiming to be the only true servants in the only clean organisation of god. All the best for you, freetosee

I use it when speaking or posting to and about jws. but it does not have the same meaning and reverence as it had before. That jesue never used it disappointed my as a jw, because I thought if he had it would be easier for people to accept the truth. fts

my wife and i are almost divorces (she has finally signed the papers...what an ordeal).

Balsam is right. I grow up thinking the same way. I could only think of the Reasoning book and the CHILD CUSTODY Booklet which give a PR level explanation on JW?s concept of "being the only ones having the truth", and view of other religions which sounds very tolerant and balanced. But as your own case proves, it is far away from the reality of JW thinking.
