There are many parallels between the WT leadership and the Nazis. So I see no problem comparing them, in fact the wt leader did so himself… http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/119679/1.ashx

what is it makes some of those wacky apostates appear from time to time claiming russell and the witnesses were/are all part of some great freemason/illuminati plot?
i'll tell you what it is, and it may explain a few other things for you too!
people who come up with these theories demonstrate a basic psychological insecurity stemming from their involvement and subsequent disentanglement from the witnesses.

growing up, i remember hearing stories from my own parents and others in the congregation about experiences with demons.
sister x wore a t-shirt that she purchased at a second hand store and the demons attached themselves to the shirt and gave her problems.
certain movies and/or cds would give a family problems.
Lilly,
You really have to be in a controlled, scientific study to try and prove something like this. But I think it would be near impossible to do so.
This has been tried repeatedly in so-called haunted houses, but failed to provide documented proof.
We don’t see, smell or feel the electricity reaching our light bulb, yet can see the evidence of it. Off course there are gray areas and not everything in the universe is explained, that’s why we need to be extra careful in these areas. Out of these gray areas come very strong convictions which "conveniently" can’t be challenged.
Btw, I know a few non-Christians from Africa and the Caribbean who have had ghost experienced and could relate many from their homes. We had two African sisters in our cong who practiced Voodoo before and after becoming jws, it was covert up since their where the PO’s bs’s, but that another story.
I have been very convinced and certain about different things, definitely not alone in my thinking, and like most of us later found out I was wrong.
I agree with Funkyderek’s post.

I think it is hereditary, something of a sixth sense passed along thru generations.
Is there at least documented evidence for this, since I dont have it? Actually my sisters and me should, our father and grandfather had it.

Dido,
thats the problem I have with these stroies, the evidence is only 'there' for a very limited audiance. I cant expect someone to believe something outstanding like that just because I say so. At least with the angel stories lives are saved, which makes a little more sense. Edit: Where is the documented evidence? Since it seem to me these spirits are trying to make contact.

Well, with all these stories I wonder what demons get out of lifting things and people, parties, fog, throwing shoes and the like? Sometimes they seem very playful and sometimes brutal.
I have heard many stories, but dont remember one were someone got killed, not killing themself. Is there a reason for that? Do the demons want us to know about them or not? Why are they doing this senseless stuff?

So why won't apostates simply accept that Witnesses are well-intentioned yet simply misguided?
This is true about many among the r&f, but I cant agree that this is the case with the leadership. The publications show how much they cover-up and lie. Look at their policies regarding child abuse and how victims are dealt with. The d'fing policy is well thought out and enforced. It is about unquestioned control and money. there are many examples to show this.
Regarding the masons, when i first found out about the asumed connection is was very convincing. Russell used a lot of their symblos and terminologie. After more consideration i see things diffrently now. I think the wts is bad as it is, no need to make it worse. It is very dangerous and has hurt and damaged too many. Softening the wt decite is just as bad as saying "jws eat their children".

i finally found out what is to be announced this week!
apparently there is going to be a new symbol of the society.
it is going to be introduced via a resolution that everyone will be required to salute to.
Is that the big announcment we've been waiting for? A new wt logo!

Dido- i have absolutly no intentions to change your mind. The mind is a very powerful thing, but if anyone, only you should be the one changing it.

here is some rubbish from the awake magazine .
awake!
1993 march 22 pp.3-4 why so many false alarms?.
THX thats a good quote, it also shows that the wt leadership knows exactly what it's doing and as it was in russells day the readers are told to trust it more then what they can read directly in the scriptures.

so i get this phone call from an apostate friend and i am informed that the c.o.
are at the hall tonight.
so i accidentally printed out 50 copies of the letter from paul hoeffel (un/dpi) and somehow or another they ended up on all the windshields of the cars at the hall.
I hope the bro's doing the patroling didn't take them down before the brother came out. Did you stay to watch?
