I understand Wasanelder, but I'm with Shaolu. I'll do the same thing, because I DON'T TRUST ELDERS! My little experience among JWs and elders shows me that elders may do ANYTHING to protect WTBTS... even lie and others crimes. Specially when elders met with sisters. What are they do??? So I have to do something, and a simple recorder give me a bit of protection. I have a friend and she was another elders' victim. An elder wanted to df'd her based in lies. No record was did. Another elder was contacted to us to said all related things by the elder. If we have this minimal evidence, we'll go to police and make that elder tell ALL LIES that "brothers" tell him and sue him! But no factual evidence. Just stories from my friend. I believed her not because she's my friend, but because I known her very well for decades. She tell me that in the middle of the chat, the elder say: "it's a poker's game". So, I remember that ABBA lyrics: "But I was a fool, playing by the rules". And it happens when we play by the rules with this kind of elders: we loose ever. I grant Shaolu, because he played with elders by using the their rules. a JW friend tells me: "outlaw has of being treated as outlaw". And until if it proves the opposite, these elders didn't pass of outlaws for me.

Look at this goals found in OASCE website: http://194.8.63.155/item/20056.html Freedom of religion or belief Across the OSCE region, many individuals and groups face restrictions on their right to freedom of religion or belief. Problems include discrimination against individuals in the workplace and public services, defamation campaigns against minority religions or belief groups, the disruption or prohibition of worship even in private homes, censorship of religious literature, and imprisonment of those who object to military service on religious grounds. These restrictions may be a direct result of state legislation and policies, or, in other cases, they may arise as a result of a lack of protective action from state authorities, often in the face of a dominant religious majority. An Advisory Panel of Experts on Freedom of Religion or Belief has been established to serve primarily as an advisory and consultative body that highlights issues or trends that deserve attention and suggests constructive approaches that might be undertaken by the ODIHR to advance religious freedom. The Panel consists of eminent experts from different backgrounds and of various faiths from throughout the OSCE region. Members serve in their personal capacities as experts and do not represent any organization or confession. The ODIHR makes the Panel's expertise available to participating States and to OSCE field missions, and experts from the Panel are ready to give advice and to mediate, upon request. The Panel has undertaken a number of activities and projects, including: Legislative reviews for governments, on request, to help them bring their legislation into line with international standards; Publishing Guidelines for Review of Legislation Pertaining to Religion or Belief, which were drafted by members of the Panel of Experts in association with the Council of Europe's Venice Commission; Development of new legislation intended to foster improved relations among religious groups, including in post-conflict societies; Promoting dialogue between governments and religious groups, as called for in OSCE commitments.

What's The Difference Between A Normal Person & A Jehovah's Witness???
by minimus inthere are many differences between a "worldly" person aka "normal" and a jw.
for example, a jw is horrified by christmas lights.
it's the work of the devil!
-
rosa
my bets:
the difference between a normal person and a JW is this:
one is JW and the other isn't JW.
in both cases we find good and wicked persons.

KHAA, reasn Watchtower is afraid of Kingdom hall related lawsuits (mishaps)
by DaCheech inunlike any other business or homeowener in which we go out and buy insurance, the watchtower self insures itself.. each year all congregations sent a check through the wefts system for $4.5 for each publishers they have.
this money goes to the watchtower, and is kept as khaa or kingdom hall assistance arrangement.
any time fire, vandalism, or mishaps happen the kingdom hall supposedly sends the bill to the watchtower, and they will help with this bill (of course all labor will be done pro bono through regional building committe).

Reading the Rules on Motion to Smash Summons (http://www.silentlambs.org/assistance/documents/slnorrisRulingonMotiontoQuashSummons.pdf) I found this, in page 3:
"KHAA...
...Although Watch Tower PA characterizes "donations" to the program as voluntary, and ASSERTS that coverage IS NOT GUARANTEED in return, the documentation provides shows that all California congregations are covered by the program, and all are issued invoices and directed to make payments on the those invoices."
In that occasion, WTBTS was trying to show that Californi Court hasn't jurisdiction over a Pensilvania company, but the KHAA proves that WTBTS is present in California.
The most important fact is this: WTBTS itself said to Court "that coverage IS NOT GUARANTEED in return" to the congregations. -

When I begun an investigation in court's material (regarding Blood Transfusion) available in the internet, I noted that no one of them appears the name "Sociedade Torre de Vigia" (Brazilian branch of WTBTS), except one case when WTBTS paid hospital expenses for a probable bethelite. One of the cases passed through the Brazilian Supreme Court of Justice in 1998 when the HLC JW doctor Faleiros Diniz loses a "habeas-corpus" (try to finish a criminal investigation after a young's death in the 90s). This case is under investigation yet.
The information about this and others brazilian cases are in the site: http://www.geocities.com/rosazul_documentos/processo.html , but it's all in Portuguese. If one aid me to translate to english I will thank.
