i raised this question before i stopped attending the meetings in the late 90's and the answer i was given was, "it has slowed down a lot and will eventually stop when the time is right".

There may be an agent(s). I'm not sure if an agent would need the go-ahead of the WTS. It could be a covert operation of bethelite members without the knowledge of the WTS. It may be a justification of bethelites members to be able to read JWD stuff without becoming apostate so they present material that confuses the issue. by uriah inwhen i am having a conversation with a family member who is a jw about the jw's and how i wasted the best years of my life following a cult, they come back with .
"yes but being a jw saved you from std's, drugs..." and all the usual stuff jw's are supposed to be protected from.
it seems to me that jw's think that they are the only people in the world who do the right thing and anyone else is up to their neck in crap, doing drugs and other unsplendid things and being a jw 'saved' me from these things as i am bound to have done them if i hadn't have been one.

It is a common JW belief that if you don't put the kingdom first you won't be able to find a job.
Now that I am out of he borg I have all the work I need.
My life is much more relaxed and I have more time for my hobbies. My emotions are no longer strained to the breaking point. I don't have to face those pointless arguments at the door anymore or give vain talks about stuff thats been said a million times before.
The JW don't have much time for themselves because of the 5 meetings a week schedule they have. Imagine that at least 48 hours each week in the average JW life are consumed by the masters of mind control.
This waste of time erodes into the normal welfare of family life or single life. That is why the divorce rate for JW is higher than for non JW.

Is that right, well, the WTS really put there foot in that one. I always thought apostates were actively teaching doctrine that does not agree with WTS doctrine. I guess the bible students that left in the great exodus of 1925-1927 (about 70 thousand of them) were all apostates!!. No Rutherford was THE apostate and a false prophet because he lied about 1925. Imagine the flagrant attitude of the WTS to brand all those who left the borg as apostates. Now THAT is apostate!!
