That's assuming these are real statistics and not fudged.
My guess is that there are less Witnesses than they are saying.

mine is garmisch germany....spotless and dog friendly, in the heart of the alps, just on the border of austria, driving distance to anywhere in italy....an absolute dream.
the town is small, (near where sound of music was filmed) beautiful shops including, chocolate, designer fashions, local specialties and the best food you have ever tasted from every part of the world.. it is a professional skier's destination, and at the same time, cows are driven through in the morning and evening with most traffic coming to a halt to allow the same.. driving in form munich, about an hour, you climb mountains and then suddenly come into beautiful fields with the mountains rising above you.
absolutely breathtaking.

The blog looks nice and any site out there that exposes the Watchtower's shunning practice is ok in my book. In my opinion, I wouldn't hold my breath that anything will force them to change this policy.
Shunning = Control
how many of you have had to send a computer in for repairs?
did you have to wait almost three #$@!
@##$% months to even get any sort of corre-frigging-spondence started?!?
I know what you're going through. Years ago I had a Compaq and had such bad service I ended up calling their corporate office demanding to speak to the CEO. Instead I spoke to a secretary who took care of my problem - quickly. From then on I bought Dell Computers and and didn't have many problems but when I did it was Dell Hell.
Dell Hell consists of calls to some guy in India who doesn't speak clear English and has no idea how to fix a computer problem.
i hope that some of you lurkers out here really take a look at some of the thread in this section of the board.
this awake magazine says not one thing about how families are asked to trust their elders and how these very elders were and are abusing their children.
it mentions nothing about watching out for these trusted men in the congregations.............oh it brings out the internet, other family members and fathers and males in particular.. it will tell you how much your child needs to do to prevent something like this from happening.
As a non-Witness, I still can't get over the juvenile style of writing they use in their publications. It's an insult to any any adults intelligence. I couldn't read past the first page without my acid reflux acting up. All of their writings reak of the same "pearly white" image they try to impose.
hello, i just wanted to introduce myself to everyone here - as i will be posting here.. i grew up a jw and pioneered, was a ministerial servant, ect, i was in the organization for 17 years.
i left and naturally my family did as they were told and cut off all communication with me.
this left a horrible taste in my mouth for not just jw's, but any religion for that matter.
Welcome Fr. Price
Years ago I met an ex-Mormon who became a Jewish Rabbi so hearing about an ex-JW who became a Priest comes as no shock to me.
no, i'm not here to defend them.
but you know how they love to get off on technicalities.
i'm sure all here would agree that the wt is extremely evasive, misleading, and intellectually dishonest (i.e.
They lied when they said they joined the UN for library access.
i have been sworn to secrecy on a couple of matters that will soon be evident in this regard.
sorry to be 'cryptic' here - but timing is everything when one is trying to bring the very serious [and often ignored in the press] matter of child sexual abuse to the fore.
with barbara anderson's permission, i reproduce part of pages 66 to 68 here for discussion..
Thanks for this post Jeff.
There has been no mention of this cd in a while and I was concerned all interest was lost. I patiently look forward to all of the plans to come together shortly.
would you force people (those that you consider narrow minded and ignorant of course) to take that cure?.
if not, then what would be the point of the cure or even wishing for such a cure?
those 'afflicted' would be blissfully unaware of their condition and would never take it voluntarily.. thanks.
I don't think doctors could keep this cure in stock.
