The "most honest people" on earth....?
by stuckinarut2 inhave we noticed how often the society uses comments like this?.
"jehovah's witnesses are the most honest people...etc".
while it may be true that witnesses as a whole are decent, law abiding people, are they truely "honest" when the very foundation of beliefs are based on mistruths?.

what buzz word from the jw's do you hate & why?
by Sabin inso my hubby has been on a bit of a roll about the jdubs, we were talking a lot about them & he said the buzz word he hate's the most is "worldly" why?
because he say's "with that one word they have condemned (according to their believes) a person as being worthy of nothing but death.

What TV shows were forbidden in your JW household?
by Funchback inin the u.s., three's company was not allowed.
it was explained to me that it was an immoral show because a man and women lived together and no one was married.
the sister who gave this observation was a family friend and we were newbies to the religion.. at least i somehow managed to watch the benny hill show undetected..

i am hoping you wonderful people can help as this group is the best for most things in life not just our shared jw experience.. as many of you know since leaving jwdom i have become totally involved in exotic hedgehogs and now run my own rescue for them.
there is a horrible hereditary disease called wobbly hedgehog syndrome that has appeared in the uk.

I was unsuitable for nearly 60 years. I tried to keep going for my wifes' sake.
In JW parlance I was also NOT qualified to do anything!
Some years ago when Bristol Assembly Hall, UK was being built, I volunteered for weeding - I wasn't even suitable for that!
DF'd 3 years now - I never will be suitable for the JW Organisation.

what is 'the arrangement' exactly?

its used to accuse.... they did not follow j's arrangement, you have to live by j's arrangement.
or to brag.... its all due to j's arrangement , we work with his org, and according to the arrangement.

The 'arrangement' is just what the local elders personal thoughts are at the time. It varies from time to time and day to day and person to person!
