ARE JW'S MORE HONEST THAN OTHERS?

In my experience, JW's have extremely well-honed 'public' and 'private' personna.
As 'image' counts so ridiculously much to this group, they MUST keep a squeaky clean public image, at all times, at all costs, in all ways, regarding everything.
This is an untennable burden for most human beings. And their 'humanity' is under constant pressure to 'leak out'.
Never you mind: 'Tattlers to the rescue!'
Yes, JWs live with a constant burden and with a constant threat of tattling.
And so....perhaps this is why....their 'private personna', when it is bad, can be REALLY bad.
I think this is perhaps because they have lost touch with any genuine sense of 'right and wrong'. So the 'other side of the coin' now includes every and any awful thing you've ever heard of and they are now all exacty equal.
Any genuine sense of 'right and wrong' has become so buried under the weight of image and threat of tattling and the burden and duty of superiority and of reporting the human failings of others - (a job that may cost others to lose EVERYTHING).
They are now SO out of touch that they can actually stand up in front of the world and say and believe something so ridiculous as the two witness policy - that child sex victims need to have two witnesses to the crime before they can even consider it.
I used to think JWs were more honest.
And I used to think I was the only one with two sides.
No longer.

Sexual Offender in my hall.

i have a small child, so i obviously want to know.
her mom tells her a website where she can search for sexual offenders, www.criminalfiles.info.

The REASON there is a sex offender registry is because citizens of this country have a RIGHT TO KNOW of convicted sex offenders in their area.
You have every right to share information with anyone and everyone you choose to. You ALL have a right to know.
If the WTS tries to silence you, they would be depriving you of your right to free speech.
If you want to know what 'discharged' means, call the PD and ask them. My guess is that it means he served his time and now he's out. But the PD would be the horse's mouth on this.
I think it's a great idea to get a photo of him going door-to-door. But before, during or after you do anything, call Bill Bowen and get his input.
This might present a great opportunity for silentlambs.
It will be interesting to see if the WTS defends HIS internet rights while condeming everyone else's.
Regarding the protection of your children, I can't imagine why you're still attending any KH.
The sorry truth is that just because you've found all this dirt on this guy, that doesn't mean he's the only one there.
The JW doctrine and the JW policies are at the root of the problem. And, at the present time, they are not going away.
That's why we're here.

MIND RAPE?

my encounter with the jws was kind of self inflicted, i.e.
i was not brought up in it.. i am sort of coming to the conclusion, that is meaning, that with my association with the witnesses and reading here, that those that were introduced to this particular form of mind control later on in life, seem to be more adversly affected mentally than those that have the misfortune of being 'brought up in the faith'.

What do you suppose they'll do with the toy lambs?
Should someone be checking the KH garbage?
Or perhaps they'll believe these 'apostate gifts' are too 'demonized' to keep them so closeby?
Perhaps they'll drive them out to the woods where they can burn them?
Makes me think of the unbearable link between guilt and madness in D's 'Crime and Punishment'.

Can't get the video to play for some reason.
Been there when my brother died of Leukemia. 'Take it out', 'Put it in' and on and on.
It's a helluva way for a family to 'deal with' a dying child.
Thank God for the nurses and staff or no one might ever have noticed that there was a PERSON, a child, there, not just a religious debate.

It all makes me wonder if pedophilia might be THE defining characteristic of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Maybe pedophilia and child abuse and the domination of women is what this religion is really all about.
And the rest is just a lot of smoke and mirrors and some nice and extremely naive people thrown in just for distraction.
