When I read your (warranted) criticism of the parents who let it get this far, I couldn't help but recall that THIS TYPE of JW child offender would be the first to claim, 'just joking' and further, to accuse or insinuate that it was the child protectors who were guilty of entertaining 'immoral thoughts' about THEM.

do you know of any other sites that are as wonderful for chatting as this one?
(reasonably monitored, accessible for finding and keeping up with various topics and discussions, accessible for finding previous posts by various members, etc.).
One thing that's so nice about this place is that people flip-flop discussions of JWs, past and current of course, but also current events, things that are on TV, in the media, self-awareness and inner exploration, child-rearing philiosophies, religion in general, scandal, home life and events, relationships, personal struggles, etc.
Am I asking too much?

i am sitting here watching this shocking interview.
the reporter spent 8 months with this um, person.
i cannot believe how bizarre mr. jackson is.... and it has given me the willies.
One very good thing about those kids is that, as they grow up, they will have each other.
Probably wouldn't be a bad time to hear what McCauley (sp?) has to say about it all, if anything.
Did Michael go into any details about his abusive childhood? (I missed the beginning).
I've just got to add that I find his singing, dancing, song-writing talent to be phenominal.
He is SO talented.
it seems that it's very difficult to convince the average witness that their beliefs are incorrect.nearly all will not admit or simply cannot see the error of their ways.how would you help a jehovah's witness see the light?
I would ask them, are you aware that JWs have a very high incidence of both suicide and homicide?
Are you aware that they have the lowest education level of ANY faith?
Are you aware that JWs have a very high rate of mental illness?
Then I would let them know that most JWs have no idea that this is so and I would encourage them to look fearlessly at their own religion.
I think for people wrapped up in 'image', this might strike a chord.

It would be a fascinating study in psychology and manipulation, to observe the way that the whole issue of the Governing Body so gradually reveals itself to new JWs. It's fun to see how the media points up, straight away, how JWs believe that their GB has an 'inside track' with God. How many JWs would not be JWs if that had been pointed out to them from the beginning?
Now, you bring up this whole point about the origins actually having to do with business decisions and legalities.
I'm happy to see all this exposure at last coming to an evil corporation that well deserves it.
just got done listening to the mark fuhrman show.
his guest was a lawyer that handles abuse victims that are roc, mormon and 'hovahs.
the groundwork for what happens to 'hovah abuse victims was well laid by the lawyer when furhman took a call from a 'hovah elder named "mike".. poor mike.
Really glad to hear Mark is doing well.
OJ's scumbag lawyer didn't give a damn if he was destroying someone's reputation - anything to get his well-monied wife killer off, and another feather in his lawyer cap..
Come to think of it, OJ's lawyer kinda' reminds me of some JWs I know.

it was another hour long program of child abuse vicitms and the watchtower society.. it looked very very bad .
