Happyguy,
I saw no humor in your post, just that you were relieved she found her way to the hotel, and more importantly, the vehicle, what ever it is, was not damaged.

I'm glad your wife is safe and is in a good place and OK.
I found it strange you seemed more worried about the vehicle than the wife
In your words.....
"She wasn't hurt by the way, thanks for asking. And more importantly her car wasn't hurt either."

on top of that one of my sons is bringing home a girl friend who is flying over from austria.. i'm thinking maybe lasagna.
i'm pretty good at that, but it doesn't seem real traditional.
the beef is so bad around these parts, i don't dare do a crown roast and besides that cost around $60.00.. what is your favorite dinner?.
Chickpea, one of my secrets to garlic bread comes from a very famous restaurant here. Slather it with Maries blue cheese dressing after the garlic butter.
I had a waiter give me the secret many years ago. They were famous for their garlic bread....I've never done it any different since!

Thanks all, and Scully too. I don't think these guys would tolerate any gamey birds such as duck or goose.
I serve a nice pork roast at least once a month with all the xtra's including homemade applesauce, so it would be nothing new.
I guess, I'm going to stick to the Lasagna, with garlic bread, a big beautiful salad, and lots of deserts. The nice thing about Lasagna, is you can make it a day ahead of time, bake it, and its better the next day...great cold too!

my daughter used to own a small antique business.
someone in her town was going to demolish an old house, and ali was given the chance to take the remaining items before the demolition.
among the remaining items was a stack of perhaps a dozen or more original pastels.
Coffee, no matter what preserve these art pieces as they are. Do not frame them, keep them from moisture, etc....they sound wonderful.
I am related to a very famous potter. She produced a chalk painting during her college years. It fell into my mom's hands, and she felt it needed cutting down by 3 inches. Those 3 inches included her signature. It is now in the hands of an uncle who's wife hates our family. She has a tendency to burn, or rip things to shreds. (she is mentally ill at 85 years old)
No one knows this exists....when I think of it, it makes me ill.
So many people are so stupid about treasured antiques.

if you believe in "god" do you avoid using the name "jehovah"?
even if you don't accept a god, does using that name "jehovah" disturb you in any way?.
Not so much as the way it is pronounced by JW's preaching ....JEHOUUUUVAAAH!
just saw this pop up at the fuentes' forum extjforum.com.

it's a scan (you can thank iloowy for the scan) of the march 15, 2010 watchtower where there's a picture of a radiant sun of a wt logo along with a tm mark right next to a paragraph that says 'they "will shine as brightly as the sun"' (matthew 13:43).. .
I seem to remember that separating the wheat from the chaff would not happen until a different time....
you know, "NEW LIGHT" from past thinking.
Is this new light, AGAIN?"
for myself growing up in the 60's it was mostly the beatles that drew my attention as well as many others.. as for the entire body of work by them, there might never be another four piece musical group like them.. sad to think that the younger generation today only has thug rap/hip hop trash or britney spears to listen to.. the quality of music may have diminished itself when it started to become more of a visual expression of art rather than .
purely audio form of entertainment.. just one of my favorites out of many.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfrk4ca0dlg&feature=related.
I grew up in the time period where these fellas were quoted in a Watchtower.....
something about sitting in his armchair and feel his disease.....Maybe Blondie can find it....but I'll never forget.
Maybe the speaker added it, but I'm pretty sure it was in one of those rags.
