"you get what you pay for"?.

a couple of years ago i bought a lawnboy mower for $750.

i probably only used it a dozen times since i'm not really big on yardwork.

FF....don't feel too bad about this,..... although non starting lawn mowers can raise blood pressure beyond current medical readings. (I've got one)

Just to make you feel better, I have been promised by each salesman of a new appliance or air conditioning system that my power bill would go down by such and such a percent.

Ha, ha and ha. After installing all energy star appliances, A Trane airconditioning system 4 years ago, with a 5 inch filter thats costs just plenty....my power bill is through the roof! Right now,450.00 a month.

None of these new items performed as advertised.....they just work harder in an older house.

Getting back to lawn mowers,

I finally hired a guy to cut my lawn for 25.00 a week during the summer. He trims, rakes, mows, and keeps it looking fantastic.

Sorry buddy, you remind me of my own sons. Taken up with absolute stunning girls, only to be tortured by the same. My boys have dated some of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. They have slowly learned what mom was trying to tell them all along:

There is an old saying...."Pretty is as pretty does" You will eventually learn that women or girls who are too pretty expect too much...this is where the word Diva started and some how became acceptable. (Diva is short for a spoiled, selfish, self absorbed ignorant brat)

In general VERY pretty girls wind up being spoiled brats at your age, looking for the next guy while you are busy trying to make them happy.

You can only learn this for yourself, I hope you aren't hurt too badly in the process.

Keep this in mind: ..... any girl putting her picture out for the world to see, is looking for way more attention than you can possibly deliver.

On another note....there is an entire ugly class for self absorbed males too. It just wasn't covered here.

There are many here with more experience in this organization than I have.

I am about 20 years older than you. You gave one example of a DFing but not reality based from previous years. You missed the ugly history of the 70's. I was df'd at 16 and then it had to be reversed...probably one of the first few in the history of this organization. It went all the way to the top.

The trail of destruction from the Society's mistakes exists to this day.

Much more ugly history is being made with the pedophile problem and changes with acceptance of blood fractions, changes with dates after absolute direction, that the end was coming in 1975, and every other year predicted before and after that date.

The point being....many lives have been destroyed by disfellowshipping, changes in policies, or absolute lies, predictions and debacles denied. You are of another generation, or should I say another overlapping generation that is clueless to the Society's past and have bought into "this generation will by no means pass away.".......please start a retirement fund, you will need it.

Open your eyes and recognize propaganda when it is fed to you.

Forget what they say, most JWs do not believe the end is near...

i was a baptized jw for 7 years.

during that time i repeatedly vocalized my belief that "the end is near.

My grandmother was not prepared to die before the "New System".....she was 79 in the early 1970's. That puts her born at the turn of the previous century. My mom and her siblings were not prepared to die before the "New System".....some have died and most are now at the end of their lives. We children were taught we would not die, now in our 50/60 range.

Do the lies never stop? There is no end, except the carrot continually dangling in front of new recruits. The oldies but goodies still believe its just around the corner.
