i am noticing that when some of the ads run, the page keeps scrolling upward towards them.
this is annoying and should be addressed, as it makes some threads almost impossible to read.
have same effect on two different oss, (same browser type, firefox).
sometimes (most of the time) not clearing cookies and history will cause your internet browser to act quite strangely. I recommend clearing cookies and history, closing browser restarting site and see if it still happens.
Do this regularly.

John Aquila - That application seems to be working well on the few pages I just tried to load that were giving me an issue before. Thanks for that.
I am a minimalist by nature when it comes to installing any application, so I only install what is necessary.

heard 4th-hand, but from a full-on believer, so not likely to be an "apostate lie":.
apparently, at bethel's morning worship this morning, it was announced that all worldwide wts construction is "suspended" for an indefinite time, except for the new world headquarters at warwick.. also, the "relocation" of remote translating teams is also suspended.. finally, there will be a "worldwide" reduction in bethel personnel.. all this came to me in a non-english language, and,as noted, 4th-hand.
so it is possible something may have been lost in translation and/or in the multiple steps between bethel morning worship & me.. but if true, it would be quite stunning.
As I have been saying since they they dropped the book study, always follow the money...
WT only cares about two things, control of its members, and money. The only reason to downsize, stop construction, reduce meetings, etc. is for economic interests, since none of these things help with control of its membership at all, and in fact serve to do the exact opposite.

i rang my sister and told her that i no longer believe jws have the truth and the phone went silent, when i asked her to say something she just said if that was the case then she would have to hang up on me and then proceeded to indeed hang up..
so i texted her back immediately with fu..
Btw...I have been working all night on an issue and not slept in 25+ hours, (and won't be headed home for the foreseeable next several hours)...however this news made my night. Congrats again!

i had this excitement that more people would be leaving soon because of the crazy broadcasts, the crazy "new light" that the gb was dishing out, and more recently the australian royal commission lighting up geoffrey.

Mass exodus? No. Social evolution? Yes.
As society changes, it becomes very difficult for a 19th century religion and social construct to remain relevant. Slowly, apathy builds among the members. Likely they make no real change, (other than just attempting to live as normally as possible), until if and when something happens to either them personally or someone the care enough about personally.
Keep in mind human beings have strong social needs that are met by their association with the organization. Unless those needs can be met elsewhere, (really meaning that they are no longer being met by the organization), they will likely not leave, regardless of intelligence or approach to logical thought. This is why it usually takes a personal event to wake someone up, even after years of apathy.
The apathetic are increasing in number however, and have been for many years, especially since the mid-1990s. These folks are a ticking time bomb, (individually, not collectively), and will leave as soon as it becomes socially feasible to do so.
