  as of 6:02 pm last night i received a facsimile from paul hoeffel at the un on the wts.. he gave me 3 of the 4 things i requested in two paragraphs.. i have sent a scanned version to steve bates and someone else.. i sent it to kent and randy.

  and kent and randy have posted the official united nations letter on their web sites.. here is the letter - put your cursor on the image and then right click on your mouse and hit "save image" to your computer.. .

  after you look at kent's web site and you people still think this it is a fake letter, phone paul hoeffel yourself at (212) 963-8070.. hawk

  Thank you Dungbeetle for posting the link! I dont know how to cut and paste. Im so computer challenged. I realize that is alot of reading to slosh through, but I found the timing of all this curious.

  The WT of May 1 1996 dealt with "God and the State, Paying Each what is Due". If I remember right, there was a very important article therein that stated that if a JW's conscience concluded that a country's national civilian service is a "good work", he would still be regarded as a brother in good standing. The elders and congregation would fully respect his decision to do so. If they accepted SOME civilian work (if his conscience allowed him to do so once again)the WT indicated christian neutrality could be maintained.

  My point is, did the UN require that this option be available to the members of it's NGOs? Did the UN "set policy" for the GB, before the Special Rapporteur of the UN could effectively grill the Greek representative present at the 51st session of the General assembly on November 7 1996? BTW the role of the Special Rapporteur is to "emphasize the development of initiatives and activities that help,directly or indirectly, to protect and/or promote religious freedom and to combat all forms of discrimination and intolerance based on religion and belief."

  The WT is so hypocritical because of not being neutral, according to their OWN definition by secretly associating with the UN, and yet putting the brothers through all that.

  Perhaps Im all wrong on this, I would appreciate everyone's imput.

  after much hard work a certain person has finally got the story published through a letter to the editor in the san bernardino sun.

  you will find the article in the november 28, 2001 edition of the newspaper in the "opinion" section.

  note the voice of the people section.

  Good question Moxy and Hawk.

  I found the UN web system to be labyrinthine. I was looking for additional ways that the WT NGO partnership benefited and involved them in UN activities worldwide. My suspicion is that their association involves much more than Awake! articles. I am determined to unearth evidence of their more covert collusion. There are other people working on this as well. The NGO link is key and their involvement is cached in their ancillary networks.

  Moxy, this was not the way I found it but try this link:

  This organization chart has clickable links on it.
  You will note that under the oversight of the UN's Secretariat is the DPI which is not clickable. So you can go to one of the functioning commissions under Economic and Social Council, the Commission on Human Rights. Then go to search on that page and type in "Watchtower".
  The results will come up on an Excite search engine.
  Might I stress that each principal organ of the UN probably has their own search capabilities.

  When I saw that I almost wet my britches!

  Perhaps you guys can research your questions in that manner. I wish you godspeed.

  One tip. The UN has it's own glossary of terms, which are couched with their own agenda. Words like sustainability, governance, civil society, democracy, and reproductive rights. For example, reproductive rights to them means population control.

  Hey again guys! Hawk, that will be great. If this gets as wide publicity as possible we have struck gold! This should really help alot of honest-hearted ones see through the duplicity of the WT and get out. Let me say thanks again to all who have worked so hard on this. Speaking of which, has anybody heard from MacHisslop lately?

  This is proof positive that the UN had the final say for some of the material that flock would read. "Meat in due season" indeed.
