Old WatchTower Magazines
by ClassAvenger ini was wondering where i can get some watchtower magazines, the really old ones where they teach about all those prophecies and stuff.
i was thinking of collecting a few to show them to my jw friend, but i have heard they are hard to find.
i have also heard about some magazines being in cd-roms, but i don't think a jw would accept that, i think they would want harder evidence.

WT admits, they are just a human org.
by izobcenec inwhen explaining their child abuse policy, they state:.
our procedures have been refined over time.
over the years, as we have noted areas where our policies could be strengthened, we have followed through.

When explaining their child abuse policy, they state:
Our procedures have been refined over time. Over the years, as we have noted areas where our policies could be strengthened, we have followed through. We are continuing to refine them. We do not believe that our system is perfect. No human organization is perfect. But we do believe that we have a strong, Bible-based policy on child abuse. Anyone in a responsible position who is guilty of child abuse would be removed from his responsibilities without hesitation. We certainly would not knowingly allow him to serve elsewhere, either because he moved or through a transfer.

Do you think the Watchtower, will start calling the internet SATANIC ???
by run dont walk inanswering one of minimus questions, got me thinking, the watchtower must hate the internet, all this info and experiences from all over the world at your fingertips, it's almost like the watchtower had a communist rule over their followers, only telling them what they wanted.. then >>>>>>>>>>.
the internet, .
do you think the watchtower will say, a true jehovah's witness would have no use for such an "apostate" device..

questions from readers
by peacefulpete infor the past few years the questions from readers in the wt have been pathetic rehashes of old material, or just stupid newbie quetions answered in the pe book.
i know that they must be getting thouands of well thought out questions from sincere readers, yet none of these questions make the column.
i know that this is not surprising to many here.

Do you shun former members? Those who simply cease to be involved in the faith are not shunned. In compliance with the Scriptures, however, members can be expelled for serious unchristian conduct, such as stealing, drunkenness, or adultery, it they do not repent and cease such action. Disfellowshipping does not sever family ties. Disfellowshipped members may continue to attend religious services, and it they wish, they may receive pastoral visits. They are always welcome to return to the faith. -1 Corinthians 5:1113

Do you shun former members? Those who simply leave the faith are not shunned. If, however, someone unrepentantly practices serious sins, such as drunkenness, stealing, or adultery, he will be disfellowshipped and such an individual is avoided by former fellow-worshipers. Every effort is made to help wrongdoers. But if they are unrepentant, the congregation needs to be protected from their influence. The Bible clearly directs: "Remove the wicked man from among yourselves." (1 Corinthians 5:13) What of a man who is disfellowshipped but whose wife and children are still Jehovah's Witnesses? The spiritual ties he had with his family change, but blood ties remain. The marriage relationship and normal family affections and dealings can continue. As for disfellowshipped relatives not living in the same household, Jehovah's Witnesses apply the Bible's counsel: "Quit mixing with them." (1 Corinthians 5:11) Disfellowshipped individuals may continue to attend religious services and, if they wish, they may receive spiritual counsel from the elders with a view to their being restored. They are always welcome to return to the faith if they reject the improper course of conduct for which they were disfellowshipped.
today:
Do you shun former members?
Those who become inactive in the congregation, perhaps even drifting away from association with fellow believers, are not shunned. In fact, special effort is made to reach out to them and rekindle their spiritual interest. If, however, someone unrepentantly practices serious sins, such as drunkeness, stealing or adultery, he will be disfellowshipped and such an individual is avoided by former fellow-worshipers. Every effort is made to help wrongdoers. But if they are unrepentant, the congregation needs to be protected from their influence. The Bible clearly states: 'Remove the wicked man from among yourselves.' (1 Corinthians 5:13) Those who formally say they do not want to be part of the organization any more are also avoided. What of a man who is disfellowshipped but whose wife and children are still Jehovah's Witnesses? The spiritual ties he had with his family change, but blood ties remain.
