Why would God speak in symbols if he really wanted us to understand?
by rebel8 inif i was a deity and wanted people to know "the truth", i would just say it in plain language instead of veiling everything in symbolism, innuendo, and vague hints.
what does that method of communication accomplish?.
if i remember correctly, the borg answer to that is this method of communicating tricks the bad people but the good people can figure it out just fine.

I think that Jesus hit the nail on the head that childlike ones would inherit the kingdom, The reason being is ( this is no insult to scholars etc ), People search too deeply to unravel "symbols/prophecy", look for too much in scripture and then believe they have achieved wisdom, they have however missed the simple message of love and faith.
Many times these people will contradict theirselves, take the FDS and all the "light shining brighter" contradictions over the years. Many times Jesus said "your Faith has made you well" never did he say "Your knowledge has made you well" there are many things we do not, and will never know.
Faith should be enough, not blind prophetical jargonisms or an intellectual high believing we can teach more than the word of God contains.Overall for me the bible is an easy message.

HI,
heres a little story for you. When i first took my children to the kingdom hall everyone remarked how well behaved and loving they were ( its either genuine in kids or its not there ) ( my children continue in this manner too this day ). this was amidst the "born into the truth" children who were mocking laughing and being generally nasty to each other.By Teaching bible truths your children can grow to be loving, by enforcing man made doctrines onto them they grow up to be psychologically disadvantaged cult members without thinking ability or God given freedom, which in turn breed coldness of heart and a lack of true love - look how easily witnesses shun each other, and is their love in the congregations - NO - its a mist of falsehood that rises at the beginning of the meeting and falls at the end, a fascade, nothing but vile banter and divisions and bragging in the majority of cases.I'm not saying this to be negative its simply the truth, and in all truthfulness most of these "brothers and sisters" couldnt stand the thought of living with each other for eternity.

Thats quite true bizzy bee,
when we think about it in depth it shows that the buddhists had not faith in their god/s otherwise there would have been no necessity to form gangs of "triads" to knock the stuffing out of people for material gain.

i really suggest you check the history of Shaolin monks,they are buddhists - peaceful i think not, after receiving the breathing arts from india they formed them into fighting arts by mimmicking animals / insects (a gift apparently given by their gods ) .These were not self defence kata/forms as many presume. Take a look at Hung Gar san sao ( first form of tiger fist ) sheer violence no self defence whatsoever, formed after the burning of the monastry when the group of three became what is modernly known as the Triads, they taught this as a quick form of pugilism simply to pummel the victim into submission.

All religion has evil elements,
God never wanted men to have leaders religious or otherwise,the bible also says "all brothers are equal" youd be hard struck to find a religion where this actually reigns true, even if they claim so, for if all were equal why should any one of them have a title, elder / priest etc.
