That bird actually looks like it's saying "Oh really???" These acronyms come from online chat/gaming.
ORLY - quick way to type oh really.
PWND is a deliberate or adopted typo of OWND (owned - to be thoroughly defeated/dominated; O and P being next to each other on the keyboard).
PWNT is a deliberate mispelling of PWND, echoing the typo which generated PWND.
So the name WTFBBQPWNT might be better expressed as:
What the F**k! Barbeque. Owned.
Translated (in posh English accent):
What the ruddy hell is going on? That fight was a veritable barbeque! I state for the record that I have thoroughly dominated you.

Telephone Telapathy
by lonelysheep inhttp://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060905/od_uk_nm/oukoe_uk_britain_telepathy
has anyone ever experienced this?
i have, as well as with emails and especially text messages.. do you think there's any chance this could be real-that there is a valid, unspoken connection between people who reach out to each other?

It happened to me! I picked up the phone to call my grandma and there she was! The phone had not even rung! What makes it strange is that we never called each other! Sounds terrible, but we saw them almost every weekend!
That's not at all strange. It might be strange if it happened to you every day, or every week even - assuming average rates of receiving phone calls, diversity of callers etc. -

Personally, I think the "scientist" was just trying to get noticed.
Show me one experiment by Robert Sheldrake with notable results, and I'll show you the flaws in how the experiment was constructed. He fails to prove one thing (telephone/email telepathy) and then he's moving onto something else (mobile phone text message telepathy). Why not do more conclusive research on the original findings - reason being (IMO) that more conclusive research would destroy the results. Its possible that there are many mysteries that we dont fully understand about our exhistence. That's true. But mysteries are by definition mysterious because we don't understand them, and you can't make conclusions (e.g. telepathy) from a position of not understanding.

Probability pretty much guarantees that everyone will have experienced this effect (except those with either no phones, no friends, or both).

I've heard its because you only remember the times where you had been thinking of someone who had then got in touch, but you don't remember all the times you had thought of someone who doesn't get in touch. Moomin
That's called counting the hits and forgetting the misses. -

Great news. The WTS did not commit spiritual prostitution with UN.

Apologies for not reading all 18 pages... but can someone clarify my simple understanding:
Watchtower says UN = beast
Watchtower associates with beast to borrow a library book
Is that right?

Microcephaly/microencephaly (both spellings are valid) is the condition of having a small skull and underdeveloped brain.
This argument was used by some with Homo Floresiensis, the implication being that the skeleton is not an adult, but a small child with microencephaly which therefore looks roughly proportional to an adult. With a good enough skeleton, microencephaly can be discounted, because it can be determined that the skeleton is of an adult.
