Fish: I think somebody does not recognize John Lennons lyrics.
I agree with you. Organized religion is for the birds. And it's devisive. It has nothing to do with faith
im interested in hearing what your personal reaction would be if (i say if because probably 99.9% here believe this will never happen) all the religions of the world were to be suddenly banned/shut down/decommissioned/liquidated/dismembered/etc.. by the political powers of the world.
what would your first post here say?
would it change your view of jehovah...of the "org"?

hey guys: this is my first topic.. have any of you done a myers briggs test?
a lot of employers use it in the interview process.
it's highly regarded and personally i have found it very accurate.
Most hard line elders are SJ's especially ISTJ's.

Cool!! A fellow NF. I believe there are many of us in here. We care and do something about it. We make up a small percentage of the general population (2 to 4 %) Most people are ST's or SJ's.
WHo are they? Where are they?
tks
i'm talking about the new posters, like kitten whiskers, who started posting today (hope this works: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/120817/1.ashx).
and it seems like we're getting a few like this nearly every day.
people who were raised jws, really worry that they are doing the right thing in leaving, yet who have been made to feel not good enough by the wts, who felt they never measured up, who struggled with it, but came to realize that what they'd been brought up to believe was just not the truth.. the same stories are told over and over again, and they come from sincere, good people - not whiny, fault-finding apostates like the rest of us riffraff around here!
Help!! I mistakenly started a topic I meant for this area on Scandals and Coverups. Can anyone fix it?

I love intps. Youre all so very quirky. I meant the topic to go on "friends". Can you fix it, or do I need an istp?
Does anyone know how to fix it?
if you go to an assembly or convention, you are made to feel that everything is joyful, wonderful, "happifying", paradisaic, unified.
going to 5 meetings, never missing them, preparing for meetings and doing regular personal and family study and pioneering, if at all possible, raising your kids to be perfect little ministers, etc.......all these types of things are supposed to make you feel wonderful!
With the busy life I lead I felt that if I studied my WT, looked over the book study lesson and read the weekly Bible rading I had had a good week.
Then I went to the last circuit assembly. There were several talks on study and meditation. In one of them, our CO said:'If you are just anwering the questions in the lesson you are not doing enough. If you are not looking up all the scrips., doing addtional research and meditating on the lesson, you are not doing enough. Well, since I can't possibly do "enough" I don't do any of it anymore. I will never be able to do "enough" to please the WBTS.

Hey Guys: this is my first topic.
Have any of you done a Myers Briggs test? A lot of employers use it in the interview process. It's highly regarded and personally I have found it very accurate. You can take a free test on: humanmetrics.com The test is based on the personality theories of Carl Jung.
Have some fun and take the test. You may learn somthing about yourself in the process.
I am an "enfj". Read my profile on the Humanmetrics site.
When you learn about the characteristics of the 16 types you can "type" others. It helps in dealing with and understanding others.
I have my theories about the types of Russell, Rutheford, Knorr and Franz. If this topic strikes a nerve I'll share them with you.
