  How many years since you left the wts?

  we had a thread yesterday about how many years we spent in the wts, so let's total up how many years it is since we lef or, if you are fading, since you last attended a meeting.. it's just over a year since i last went, and almost 7 since my bf last went, so our total is 8 years.. feel free to add your years out.

  also, rutherford had been dismissed from bethel by russell just that year and was working as a lawyer for a department store in los angeles when russell conveniently just happened to die.

  Crackdown on Marriages

  the latest rumblings are that the wtbts may start coming down hard on anyone who marries outside the faith.

  jw's who choose to marry a non believer will be df'd.

  i would imagine those marrying unbaptized ones will be marked or told to get the spouse baptized or get df'd.

  So do those that are good R&F but married to an apostate get DF. Or is it if you from this point on marry outside. I hope it is the worst case scenario. More deletions of R&F.

  now, i realize this is something seen on those supermarket tabloids all the times.

  what i am saying, is what if it was true and the networks had it on, cnn, foxnews, msnbc, etc.

  Family moving; Need input

  i'm in a family of five and we are planning on moving, however... i'm going to da myself shortly after finishing school.

  i want to wait because i won't be 18 'till april and could therefore be forced to attend the meetings.

  so here is the issue, they are looking for a house that can comfortably fit five people, we have found several great houses that would work wonderfully for four people, but we are going the long and expensive way so that we can fit all of us comfortably.

  Please don't, for your own diginity, work in a nonskilled capacity. If your parents need help financialy you stand a better chance of helping them if you yourself are financialy secure. And that does not come from the jobs, jehovah provides for his faithful, that of cleaning wordly people feces from toilets.

  Trust me feces cleaning is for the uneducated. How many accountants do you know that clean toilets, carpets, or windows for a living?

  Instead of going to the assembly.....

  last year i seriously thought of going to the summer district convention for a day or two just to listen to the information once again now that i've been out so long.

  i thought it would be interesting to hear it "as an outsider" - but i just could not make myself go.

  i found too many other things that i would much rather spend my time at during the summer months.. so i thought it would be fun to list a few of the things i have actually done now instead of going to assemblies, meetings, or field service:boating/water skiingfishingcampingstudy dance (i danced in my first public performance this past summer!

  This house thing might be a way to make you feel that you need to stay b/c they need your financial support. Don't let them burden you in this manor. This would be a sin!
