here's a funny story!

so, i posted this on another thread, but i really think it merits its own.. a few nights ago, myself and a beautiful young lady were out to dinner.

in walked a young brother i used to know quite well, who had gested with me in times past that the only reason he would leave the jws would be to find a good looking wife (shallow i know).

sure enough, he was accompanied by a group of witnesses which mostly comprised of some of the most horrid faces known to man.

Who cleans the KH?

i just had a flash back to when we used to have to clean the kh.

each group had to take it in turn to do the cleaning.. in our group we had a bunch of lazy b*****ds, so it was left to us kids and our dad to clean the kh, bogs, etc.

even my mum used to find some excuse to duck out.. so if meetings, door knocking, studying, praying wasn't enough we also had to spend a couple of hours cleaning every month or so.

I showed up once inadvertantly at a hall cleaning. I had not attended that hall in some time.

It was a Saturday and there was a goodly sized group outside doing the gardining. That was the good job as it was Fall in LaJolla CA.

What happened next is where my enterance was made.

A STREET RACE gone bad. As I neared the intersection, where the hall stood, at high speed I executed a sharp right turn. My Jag XKE is now in full skid and sliding toward the curb as its spinning. It came to rest along side the curb as a car should be parked. I took a second, looked at them staring at me and realized that they were not only jehovah's witnesses but they were also my witnesses that day too.

I put the car in gear and drove off not meaning to interupt their hard work.

tomorrow, my husband and i will be attending joy castro's book signing.

sunday, our 8 year old son gets to attend a birthday party for the first time (his cousin's).

i'm so glad we got out before our son got much older.

things that used to bother me within the organization.. for example, the time that the organization use to.

absorb, it seemed that i gave more than i received.

As a jw they can do anything they want... as long as no one knows about it. Like when you take a vacation, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. I knew jws that visited us in Vegas and had no problem hitting the casinos as the j-s back home would never know.

ARE CONGOS IN THE USA GETTING SMALLER?

i have not been in many years.

70s i live in middle tn if iam correct there are only 3 congos now, there were 2 in the 70s.

since the 70s this area has recieved several auto mfg plants, huge population grouth.

Since the 70s this area has recieved several auto mfg plants, huge population grouth. Some of the jws here would have to be move-ins. Not to mention the law abbiding latino immigrants. So it appears no real growth.
