It's never too early to start the mind control. When you can convince someone a cupcake is evil you own them.
yesterday, i brought a batch of cupcakes to my son's school.
in passing them out, i started to give one to one of the children, who was a jw.
he immediately started freaking out and screaming "no thank you" over and over.

spear points dating to thousands of years before the flood (or even adam's alleged creation, for that matter) found preserved in situ among mammoth bones in naco, arizona.. or the 14,000 year-old footprint of a child at a mammoth hunting camp unearthed in a bog in monte verde, chile:.
the kicker is that this isn't even the oldest evidence for human settlement of the americas.
since the wt loves to trot out frozen mammoth carcasses as "proof" that mammoths died in the flood, who were these mammoth eaters in north america?
The evidence is overwhelming and not debatable except to those who need to believe in fairy tales and quote dated material from people who are not experts in the field and have an ax to grind.
But it's easier to believe the entire body of scientists in academia are making things up, in cahoots and faking the evidence than to believe a fairy tale written thousands of years ago didn't actually happen.
long time no see.. so, since i last posted on here, jws drove my sister to attempt suicide again (she failed, but it was close) and drove my close childhood friend to actually commit suicide.
i too kmy sister in and helped her recover.
i think she's going to pull through.
I would write a letter to everyone who lives near you parents saying that a child molester lives in the neighborhood and they should not let their children visit anyone unsupervised. Don't name names, but make it clear they should be careful, that the wife is aware of his issues and still allows children to come over.
i have have come to realize most "rank and file" jw's are mentally unstable-to-ill and here is why.... http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/mental-issues.php.

oh really.
the boy was six year old when he said he was in heaven with the angels.
now he admit it was made up for attention..
so i started dating on the internet in june and have met some nice guys.
i have put in a few recent posts that i have a boyfriend and wanted to give an update.
things haven't worked out sadly.. i was seeing him for a couple of months we were having fun and then things tailed off after christmas.
It sounds like you are doing OK. It takes time to get to know a person and know if they are right for you. As they say, you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you meet your Prince.
oh really.

lisaRose: "ugly big box church". LOL
You know the kind I mean, cement tilt up construction, no redeeming architectural elements whatsoever, bland and boring. It might as well been a Costco. The entrance wasn't given anything to make it stand out, it couldn't even be seen from the street or the parking lot, it faced an empty field. As unusual, it was built out in the middle of nowhere, in this case potato farming land in Idaho . This one had a children's chapel, a teen chapel and the main auditorium, it must have seated about 600. Also a coffee shop, cafe and book store.
I don't get it.
oh really.

Yeah, I thought it was bogus from the get go. Even if he hadn't made it up, he could simply have been having a lucid dream based on his understanding of what happens when you die. People are so desperate to believe that there is some basis for thinking that they will go to heaven when they die they will believe anything.
I was at a funeral at one of those ugly big box churches and they had it prominently featured in the Book store.
has anyone had success in using this article to convince their family member or spouse that critical research of what the society presents is important to build faith?.
this article has this passage that jumped out at me:.
of course, not all doubt is bad.
The problem is that, for most Jehovah's Witnesses, you can't use reason and logic, because they have been conditioned to think a certain way about these things. Any attempts to show them the obvious contradictions of the Watchtower will cause them to become fearful and shut down the rational part of the brain, and then nothing you say will make any difference.
The religion is full of examples of this kind of hypocrisy. The bible says we should keep testing our faith, but that only applies to people in other religions, Jehovah's Witnesses are trained to never look at anything critical of the Watchtower. This is so deeply ingrained that most Jehovah's Witnesses become fearful at the thought of looking at "apostate literature", as if such could cause them to loose their faith against their will, by its presense. But why? Doesn't "the truth" stand up to scrutiny? If these viewpoints are wrong, they should be easily disproved, so why are they so afraid?
Another example is this statement from their own literature.
"No one should be forced to worship in a way that he finds unacceptable or be made to choose between his beliefs and his family." Awake! 2009 July p.29 (p.28)
But of course that only applies to other religions, not to them. They are happy to convert people from their faiths, but if a former member joins another religion they are apostate and evil and are shunned. But you will not get the average JW to see this contradiction, they have been trained to not see the elephant in the room, for them it doesn't exist, even when it's sitting right next to them and they can smell the peanuts on its breath.
i keep reading that jehovah's witnesses are in effect monsters.
i keep reading that they kinda leave chaos and distrust in their wake.
so i simply wondered if anyone had anything nice to say about them?.
