Does egyptian history conflict with bible history

it is said to contain some 255 names if we start from column 2 row 11 (pharaoh menes).

we could ignore its omission of chaires and later cheneris mentioned by manetho as this is probably just an error on manethos part as no other lists appear to validate this entry.

statistically speaking this means that the saqqara tablet only contains 25% of the pharaohs it should contain during these timeframes, or conversely it is 75% incorrect.

After spending 10 days in Egypt and all the valley of the Kings and Queens and two days in the Cairo museum (when it just so happened that all of Tut's treasures were not on tour but all THERE-covers an entire floor of the museum) , I know their history is much older than the WT says (though they (Egyptians) do tend to "erase" unpopular evidences. I spent more time in Israel visiting ancient synagogues and old temple ruins in Jerusalem). Too much to comment on with a bad headache, but I will share sum pictures for entertainment soon.

BTW, Oklahoma just bought Egypt!

It's Friday! Let's Drink Some Whisk(e)y!! (Responsibly, Of Course)

as some of you know, i am employed as master of whisky for seattle (pac nw).

i represent diageo n america's whisk(e)y portfolio.. this includes: johnnie walker, the classic malts of scotland, bushmills irish whiskey, crown royal, bulleit bourbon and rye whiskey, george dickel tennessee whisky, and bucchanan's blended scotch whisky.. my job basically involves speaking publicly about the whiskies, hosting and presenting whisk(e)y tastings and dinners, and educating bar & restaurant staff about whisk(e)y. tough gig, i know.. my mow bio & pic can be found on crown royal's website here: http://www.crownroyal.com/west-masters/breck-taylor.

Question for Dogpatch (Randy): What will it cost to produce the new 16-page Watchtower & Awake?

when literature used to be sold d2d, i remember how the society never missed an opportunity to trash other religions for "peddling god's word for profit" while boasting about how the watchtower only charges for the cost of the paper and ink.. in the book "witnesses of jehovah", the author mentioned that randall watters used to be involved in print cost analysis and determined that, while we were selling wt & awake mags for 20 cents door-to-door, it was really only costing the society 4 cents per copy to produce.

that's a whopping 400% profit!.

obviously, things have changed... the paper is different, as well as the ink and printing methods in general.

16-page costs and 32-page costs are simply based on the size of the paper roll and the cutting procedure for "signatures."

I suggest they cut it to 10 pages and print it in a 2X3 inch magazine. :-))

the gloves are now well-and-truly off.

referring to facebook as a "social networking website" clearly isn't working.. the society now feels compelled to start being more specific about which websites it doesn't want you to visit!.

I love FB for business. I have more than one account (one is not under my name). it makes it easy to keep in contact with Clients, potential clients, and the press. Most newspaper reporters have a FB page.

Rule #1. Don't put up anything you wouldn't post on your front door.

It is an excellent way to contact old JW friends and Apostate JW friends. Most people have a phone number, email address, town and FACEBOOK email account. PERFECT for forwarding newspaper clippings about child molesting, Brooklyn sales, etc. It is an excellent way to weed out trolls. Is he/she a real ex-JW or legal dept-IT Bethel lacky..the Facebook account will tell!

I agree. If you have any secrets, just don't get on these sites, but so far FB and LinkedIn have benn a great boon to me.
