They kinda looked like an over sized old school doctor house call bag.
When I was a kid mine was the complete opposite. It was one of those single compartment bags with the metal spring hinges that would kind of stay open when you opened it up. Kinda like 2 pieces of pleather sewn together with 2 skinny handles. I used to see how high I could throw it in the parking lot after the meeting and would get in trouble.
this week at the book study, at all congregations in the u.s., a letter was read saying if you go to a house or property with a "no trespassing" sign, you must not enter, or knock on the door.
you have to leave immediately.
a sign saying "no solicitors" is too ambiguous, and they are to use their own judgment, and don't have to knock.
never did in a million years did i think i would be here with you guys.

i remember once in field service, an elder ran over a trashcan and never even stopped to set it back up, so this comes as no surprise to me.

That may sound hateful and weird but there is a "disconnected" feeling towards peoples homes and people themselves who are not witnesses. Whether it is subconscious or not it is there.
And if anyone in that cong. reads that article it will be looked at as an uncalled for knock on JW's.
i am not a jw and never have been.
actually i only just discovered what it really means to be a witness.
i grew up thinking it all rather harmless door-knocking and not having christmas, (which seemed pretty grim to a kid in itself) now, however, i have begun a relationship with a jw, well, an 'inactive' (i think you say) witness.
In my opinion it is better not to quarrel with the family over the subject because it will not help. They will not listen to you guys and it will only validate (in their minds) the fact that you are wrong.
It is hard and as you will see it will only get worse in the immediate future. If you two always play the good guy role, they can never use anything against you and maybe one day they'll ease up a bit.
One thing to keep in mind is that their minds are washed with what they believe and it might seem evil but that is not always the case.
They think it is god's will.
Good luck and ask him to come here and browse because it is very comforting. I started coming on here a few days ago and haven't gotten off since. Good luck to you both.

i can do one of several options from just buying new stickers for two years or i can get new plates with any combination of six figures.
it can be all letters, all numbers or any combination thereof.

That's probably why they lurk anyway. They NEED this site to gain an accurate knowledge so they can be ready with some dumb excuse and act like they were ready for it the entire time.
Their ploy is to be so ready for any question it looks like they actually know something.
