Was a baptized witness from 1984 to 2004. Finally got out of a bad marriage and found a brand new baptized sister in Chicago, and married her as soon as my divorce was final. Elders had a fit D'F us both in 2002 (Sep) a year later they re-instated my wife but nor me because they said I should have known better 3 yrs later, after several attempts to come back to no avail, my wife grew very frustrated at the situation with the elders that were from a different cong., started to investigate the internet regarding the so called "truth", read the book "Crisis of Conscience" by Raymond Franz, and soon thereafter we stooped going to the meetings, 3 months laters we both sent our disassociation letters to both congreagtions, and that was the end of it. It's been a year since then and we are very happy with our new found "freedom".
